A performance from Ringo Starr and friends recorded live at Casino Rama in Toronto, Canada on July 25, 2003. Also includes exclusive documentary footage which gives views an uncensored peek into this legendary performer's life. Review: Best All Starr DVD Yet! - Another All Starr Band Tour, Another DVD to document it. Yet this DVD stands out from previous offerings because the concert footage is separated between documentary footage of Ringo and the band preparing for gigs, fooling around backstage and generally having a good time. Hardcore Ringo fans may wish that Ringo would perform some different songs - the usual suspects are here - 'It Don't Come Easy', 'Boys', 'I Wanna Be Your Man', 'Yellow Submarine', 'With A Little Help From My Friends -, but there are a couple of interesting additions, including the rarely performed 'White Album' classic 'Don't Pass Me By'(with Ringo playing piano at the beginning!) and 'Memphis In Your Mind' from Ringo's superb latest album 'Ringorama'. This time around, the All Starr band is very much an 80's revival tour of sorts, with Paul Carrack (Squeeze, Mike and the Mechanics), Shelia E. (Prince), Colin Hay (Men at Work) and John Waite, who I have to admit to never having heard of before. All the band members deliver fine performances, but if there is one criticism, it is perhaps that Ringo should be touring with musicians of a similar stature to himself: (Think of the musicians backing Ringo at the 'Concert for George'). This is a very enjoyable DVD, however, made even more entertaining by the opportunity to observe the band off stage, where it is obvious to see what a kick they get out of playing music together. Review: The worst Ringo DVD ever released... Not the worst band though! - Oh boy, where do I begin? This is probably the worst DVD Ringo has ever released. It's probably my second least favourite All Starr Band, only behind 1992. The songs were decent, but on the CD and video, the tour sounded awful. As for this, it doesn't really matter which you buy, between the CD and DVD. They have the same exact songs, the only difference being the Behind the Scenes clips on the DVD. It's a mixed bag really: This tour has the worst versions of It Don't Come Easy, Don't Pass Me By, Yellow Submarine, Never Without You, and maybe Memphis In Your Mind, and the second worst version of No No Song, that Ringo has ever released.... but it has my favourite version of Boys, and a pretty decent version of Act Naturally, so it's not a complete bust. The only thing that prevents this tour from being the absolute worst All Starr Band is the band. I enjoy Paul Carrack more than Burton Cummings, I enjoy Colin Hay better than Joe Walsh, although Colin gets better in the 2008 tour. I enjoy John Waite more than Timothy B Schmit, and I enjoy Sheila E much more than Zak Starkey. The band is better, and the songs are more memorable, and sound much better than the 1992 tour. I'd pick up this DVD... but it's nowhere near as good as the DVDs of the 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012 tours.

You Can Skip This Performance
Ringo Starr's other concert DVD's are fine performances, but this one fails to deliver. The cast of John Waite, Colin Hay, Paul Carrack, Sheila E. and Mark Rivera seems to lack the magic. Sure, "Glamorous Life" was OK, and "The Living Years", "Down Under" and "How Long" were fairly good. But you get only two Ringo songs; "Honey Don't", "Boys" and "Yellow Submarine" and these were so lackluster (as if Ringo was very, very tired) that they were painful. You don't get to hear, "Back Off Boogaloo", You're Sixteen" or even "Photograph". That is quite a disappointment. Instead, half of the footage is Ringo and the gang mugging the camera between songs and concerts. Sheila E. on the floor playing with a bass guitar was just awful nonsense. I recommend the other two DVD's, but this one is junk a terrible waste when it could have been so much more.

GREAT but had to return the copy I got
Unfortunately the used copy I got had freezing issues and it would get all pixelated in spots. Bummer as I really enjoyed the parts of it I was able to watch! Thankfully I'd purchased it from an Amazon seller with integrity and was able to return it for a full refund. Kudos to Steve! Hopefully I'll find another copy soon that doesn't have problems. I've seen Ringo and his All Starr bands a few times with different line-ups and I have to say they have been some of the most enjoyable concerts ever. It's always a fun time to sing along with some old Beatles tunes and perhaps see other musicians perform their hits live for the first time. I recommend this for all Beatles fans and to anyone looking for a couple hours of great fun.

Ringo's concerts are never a dull affair.
I am always pleasantly surprised by Ringo Starr and his all star band(s). Hugely enjoyable concert just like all the others.

Ringo & All Starr Band
The best of Ringo Starr and his All Star Band So Far...よりもこちらのほうを薦めます。Tour2003は…今のところ購入意欲がわいてきません。
