My first wood lathe is awesome!
Very well made at a dream price, not a mass production tool but a great addition to my hobby tools where I make wheels and small furniture feet and dowels. Very happy first time user.😀😀😀

Great little lathe
Works well. Easy to use. Nice selection of tools comes with the product. I turned a miniature goblet about the size of a dime immediately after setup.

Pretty Freaking Good for the price
I got the 11" and I'm on day 5 of using it. I've been turning juniper tree branches. First bad things: Beware on the start up speed. It was cranked all the way up and ruined one of the rounded holders and bent the hell out of it. Now I've been using it, I haven't gone past the second speed. The tool they give you is good for messing around. Just go ahead and buy a basic set of wood turning tools to make things go faster. The tool slide holder sucks to tighten the machine screw under the wood you're working with. I already broke 2 out of 4 feet. I ended up screwing the thing to the patio rail. The good things: For the price and size, this thing is bad ass. Worth the money. I'm doing a chess set and it powered right through. Beginner friendly, but it's a power tool so be careful. Variable speed control is awesome and needed. Super easy to setup and get going. Things to watch out for: If it's off center even a little bit, be careful. I have a hole in my wall from it. Check the speed control before turning on. This mini lathe is really meant for square turning, but I never follow rules. Spin the set screws before you turn it on to make sure they clear the base. I already snapped one.

Not very good.
The chord had a short in it right out the box and the.motor burn out after 30 minutes of use. I know it wasn't my fault I work with tools/machines for a living. Highly dissatisfied.

OK machine for the price but needs upgrades
Tiny machine with a big separate power supply that controls the motor speed. Never seen that before and don't know yet whether I will like it. The slowest speed seems fast and the fast speeds border on insanity. Such a large power supply doubles the space required for storage. However, after using the lathe a while I can say that the machine is OK. They cheaped out on the head and tail stocks and the tools included. These are frustrating to use and need to be replaced with ones that actually index and run true and a set of real chisels. Until then, you will not be able to turn anything accurately. After that, it is better. These three updates double the cost of the machine though which is why the seller included toy ones. Chess pieces, pens, and small tool handles are the size of things you can turn. Therefore, I rate this as a buy because of its cost but only if you also buy the upgraded parts to make it usable.

I liked it!
Exactly what I wanted. My first project was for a bucket handle. It worked well. Easy to use and packed well for shipping.

Low quality, not standard.
This mini lathes quality was low. It was off center as well, likely on the support end due to the flimsy frame. Good for just playing with I guess, but it will not give you an even rotation even when bolted on a flat surface, so if your looking for a good quality even turn this is not the right tool. Additionally it does not have the standard interchangeable mt1 or mt2 option on either end. You're stuck with the installed chuck on the head and the tails live end.

Amazing 😍
Bought this to make some bobbin lace bobbins on. Since it would cost me more to buy a pack of 24 than to get this lathe, it was a no brainer! And now I can make them anytime! Fantastic
