Great replacement
It's a scalpel and is breakable, wouldn't have a better design to make them replaceable. Great value to have many on hand.

Ultra sharp......at first
Love my blade but not a lasting edge. Ultra sharp at first. Do come off easy if there's any sideways pressure as in cutting boxes.

Good blades better than original way thicker
Pretty good blades could be a little thicker but way better than the original ones the knife comes with.

60A blades look better...
I have not used these yet but the original 60 blades that were used on a deer and elk were way to flimsy and broke too easily making them a little unsafe and not very useful. The 60A blades are substantially thicker and less flexible than the original #60 blades and look like they will hold up much better.

Product fine
Heavier material should last longer

I bought the havalon knife and these spare blades. Fondly enough I got to use it that very weekend on a hunting trip. We got lucky with some game and I got staright into it. I only had to change the blade once and we managed to skin and cut out a fairly large Doe. Very impressed with the design and how sharp the blades are.

Havalon knives has taken us another vast step in techology with this knife. Maybe not quite so bold as from the age of flint then bronze then to steel! But vast nonetheless. It lacks the sentimental notion of having "grampa's old knife" and will never be a collectible. It won't inspire the wonder of the artisans work who crafts a beautiful knife and it's sheath and creates a new and useful design element in his work. It is however an incredible cutting tool. Very light, easy to carry, so sharp it is difficult to comprehend and will remain so by the easy way a blade is replaced. I have bad arthritis in my hands yet love to hunt and camp out on my hunts. My hands lack the strength to manipulate even a sharp knife blade in certain circumstances. I must keep them very sharp. The Havalon knives cut so easily it is something I have never experienced and I've been hunting 55 years. I can even change out the blades without using a tool of any sort but if your hands are slippery, perhaps a pliers would be advisable. I chose the more robust Piranta Bolt and the 60A blades. I wondered if perhaps this would be an advantage in disarticulating the ligament structure of a joint. The knife itself appears robust in its construction and would last me another 55 years. How i wish i could have those years. I'm very pleased with my purchase. I have many fine knives but they are more likely to grace my camp table where they would serve me better than the Havalon spreading butter on my toast, cutting potatoes, or cleaning a plate of beans. jobs where a wider longer blade shines.
