My first attempt at chain waxing as I wasn't keen to spend 4x on branded one. Works great. I only used some old candles so far, melted in few minutes, it's quick. Holds the temperature well. def a great one for cheap chain waxing

I got a packet of bike chain + PTFE wax and added some PTFE spray to it as well. Melted it down within 2 mins, stayed at a level temp and the inner metal pot is perfect for a MTB chain. I cleaned the chain first in a sonic cleaner then dried it with a paper towel. "Cooked it" in the hot wax for 5 mins then turned it off and hung the chain from a knife held in the closed door of a kitchen wall cupboard directly above to wax pot on the kitchen worktop below. Just put the blade of the knife on top of the base shelf and closed the door on it. Worked a dream. The wax remained fluid long enough so all the excess drained back into the pot before it solidified. I thought it would make a huge mess but there was none. Put the chain in a zip lock plastic bag as it hung up. I made a S shape from a bit of coat hanger wire, one end through the end of the chain and the other hung over the protruding end of the knife handle. I got the wax warmer just for the chain so left the wax in the pot to cool and solidify, then back in the box. Simple, quick. Note the pre used chain was cleaned and died out first. I'll report back after the first ride out..

I’m another who got this purely for waxing my bicycle chains, works well and the pot is big enough to fully submerge the chain!

I have had this for a year now so here’s the honest review. It looks good and it works well. At first. But after a few months the temperature readings do not match the reality of the situation. I use it for both melting wax and as a water bath for warming massage oil to 39C In the past few months the oil has been scalding hot and i have had to rewarm fresh oil - wasting treatment time for my clients- and making me appear substandard. It is not expensive- so yes you could use it, but don’t expect a long working life. Ridk of burns!

I use this for hot waxing my bike chain! Great budget option vs the full name brand system. Only issue is that the pot size is fairly small so not as easy to fit the full chain in neatly. No issues with the digital temperature to note though.

Dangerous machine - the thermostat is wildly inaccurate and caused me burns. With the temperature set to 50°, the wax was over 100° - I used an infrared thermometer to verify that.

brilliant product. quick delivery and very easy to use. only thing I will say is the instructions say to use between 65 degrees and 75 but that is far too hot! I melted my wax quickly on high and turned it down to 50 degrees. waited for it to go green and it was so much better and smoother. didnt burn my skin like the 65 degrees did

Well, so far, so good. It heats very well and evenly. It holds the heat where it should, and I’ve had no issues with it. I would probably end up getting a bigger waxing pot in the future when it comes down to waxing my legs because I will need more beads, but this waxing pot Holds a good amount for your face or a quick armpit cleanup.

Feels luxe - I love the dial. The display is clear and easy to read. There is a little metal bar you can wipe excess product on. It doesn't feel cheap at all and I've used it 3-4 times and have been happy with it! I find it heats up quickly and evenly.

Great wax warmer! Like how you can control the temp of it and see the numbers instead of the lo-med-high settings!

Heats nicely, but the temperature indicator seems to be off, therefore I use common sense when heating up my wax beads. I put on highest setting so the wax can heat up thoroughly, then I shut the wax pot OFF, I let the wax cool off only a bit, until I get a “honey” like consistency, then I quickly apply the wax. Overall: 7/10 only b/c the temperature knob seems to be off but I found my own way of “perfecting” the wax temp!

Works great. I love the digital temperature reading so we know exactly what temperature to put it on . My two girlfriends and I wax each other completely every month, and this works out perfect for that. Just get some good quality hard wax beads and you're good to go.
