Review: simple and effective - I appreciate that these are relatively inexpensive, and they fill a need that I didn't realize I had until I tried it. They are easy to use. You simply stick it in the door latch catch (on the car side), and you've now got something to hold on to while trying to get up into an SUV. This is a game changer for people with mobility issues. Although many cars have grab bars, this is the missing piece on the other side of the door to be able to use both hands for leverage. As an added feature, I believe the tip can also be used as a window breaker, in case of emergencies. It is a solid piece of metal, so I expect it to last me a lifetime. I noticed that, at least on our car, it can be inserted facing straight out or facing towards the front of the car. Use whichever way works best for you. In either position, it seems quite stable. The design is simple, and should work on pretty much any car. You don't need different sizes for different cars. It's small enough that you can keep it in a glovebox, center console, cupholder, or door pocket.
