Ankle support plus foot drop
{update}. I am updating my review to include that I have found the perfect way to use it for foot drop, as advised by a friend who worked with her professional. It has really helped me and I’m glad this product is available! The advice is to wear it during sleep. It had massive improvement on my foot and leg after sleeping with it on (the next morning I could walk around, normally without anything, but fatigued by the late afternoon, and needed to use it again ). and it’s comfortable unlike some of the other products that were bulky and awkward. Walking around with it still has the same sense of prominently an ankle support system, with a little bit of lift on the foot. But the biggest impact is sleeping with it. Thanksgiving you! September: I like the idea this might help with a foot drop. It’s a very slight lift of the foot so I’m gonna have to re-strap and see if it lifts a little better. Otherwise it’s a great product to give better ankle support, which can help. You do want to strengthen the muscles by using them without a device. So that’s why I’m OK with keeping this because I wear it half a day and then I remove it to use my muscles.

It seems to do what it claims to do.
Worth noting, I'm very early in my use of this product, like an hour into day one early. I was diagnosed with MS several years ago and in the past few years have had some progression of weakness in my left leg. Included with that is some dorsiflexion issues (partially exhibited as some foot drop) as well as some weakness or what I'd call "sloppiness" of my knee and ankle. I was looking for a product that would assist me with the dorsiflexion issue (with and without shoes) and one that might offer some stability of the ankle joint. In my research, this seemed like a product that could help with both of those things. My first impression was "wow, I overpaid for this thing" based upon what was in the bag (and I still feel a little bit that way but time will tell if this assists and holds up over time). I didn't have any issues getting this onto my foot; the directions were sufficient. I found that forcing my ankle into dorsiflexion allowed the brace to work best in keeping my toes pointed upward. The device is comfortable and works both with and without shoes. I'm not sure this is the case with other devices, as this is my first, I am finding that not only does it keep my ankle flexed, it also has a favorable affect throughout the length of my leg (I seem less prone to over-extension of my knee and think it helps to make the muscles in my upper leg participate. It could be mindfulness alone but I suspect the former). As for stability, I think this does offer some (it compensates for some of the sloppiness/laziness of my ankle). It does not compare to what an athletic-style lace-up brace would do to prevent an ankle roll, but I don't believe that is the intent of this device. The materials seem of good quality, the loop and hook (Velcro) seems to be quite strong as that is needed for this particular device. Even with that said, the price point does seem a bit high (considering it is made in China, not in the US or EU) which may dissuade some people from acquiring this over another device. So with all of that stated, I've given it an overall rating of four stars and as I stated before, time will tell.

At the risk of sounding like my tween, "It's ok."
It is mildly effective for my mother, who has 2/5 tibialis anterior strength. She can move through Dorsiflexion in a gravity neutral position (sidelying). However, when ambulating with this brace, she is still having toe drop and "scuffing" the floor or absent toe clearance. However, I can see this working for someone with a little greater neuromuscular control of their tibialis anterior (the muscle which pulls your foot toward your head). So, no this does not provide as much dorsiflexion support as a rigid AFO, but it does provide support and a small amount of dorsiflexion assist. It is comfortable.

Did nothing for drop foot at all
I suffered from a stroke affecting the left side of my body. I thought this and foam wrap would be better to sit in the shoes. It is not made for women with smaller structure and feet I’m a size 8 in ladies shoes. My husband trying to put it on as tight as he could and it’s still not to keep my foot up Enough for me to not skid the toe of my shoes. And then had my physical therapist put it on me thinking my husband did it wrong and he too said yeah this isn’t gonna work. It’s too big for my ankle wraps around several times and never stays up even with the silicone nonslip on the inside of the angle wrap. The Velcro straps were not strong enough to hold my foot up no matter how hard I stretch them to the fullest mass to attach to the ankle frame. The ankle brace part of the product kept slipping down my foot which then would not hold support for the drop foot. It’s a shame they don’t come in sizes small medium and large because one size does not fit all. We will be returning this product immediately.

Did the job for me
I was a bit skeptical about the product at first. I have been suffering from a nerve condition causing drop foot that has created great pain in my lower leg. I purchased this brace mainly to address the foot drop, but it also did quite a good job in also relieving the pain I was experiencing. For me this was well worth the money spent!

Beats paying a couple hundred dollars copay for a brace from a local provider
I have a dropped foot caused by a back stenosis and sciatica episode. The metal/plastic one offered by a brace shop required fitting it under the inner sole and using a special shoe. I would also have a couple hundred dollars in copay. My doctor had also mentioned I could find one on Amazon. This one is softer and does the job of making sure I no longer trip. After following the directions a few times, it becomes easier to put on. It makes a tight fit in my regular shoe, so I currently use a slipper on that foot. I will be using a shoe stretcher on the shoe for that braced foot so I can comfortably wear it with the shoe. It will be a bonus to be able to use both shoes on my feet, and I'll be able to use it with my other shoes once they are stretched.

Pretty Much Performs As Advertized
Have been wearing this brace for two years to counter the right foot drop foot I have from a progressive neuromuscular disease. The brace effectively prevents my foot from dorsiflexing and dragging my toes. While preventing me from falling, it is also lightweight, easy to put on and by wearing a white sock I can fold the top of the sock down to cover the brace while wearing sneakers in summertime. My only issue is durability. I get about 9 months use before I feel the need to replace. I realize that all disabilities are not created equal, but for me this is doing the trick and is a far more versatile option at my stage of disease than the big AFO braces that therapists often recommend as a first option. Update: After buying numerous braces for my right and left feet, I still feel the same about the functioning of brace. However, at $54 a brace for straps of neoprene and Velcro, I get irritated when I order a right brace and a left brace is inside the right foot envelope. Whoever was to blame, Neofect or Amazon, come on and get it right. I do not wear these braces to bed so in the morning I have to be careful with my first steps. I get about 1 year of use as the stretchable neoprene straps sort of lose their elasticity. Despite these issues, Neofect is still my preferred brace

Awesome for foot drop
I developed foot drop after a spine injury. Started off with the hard plastic splint which was very painful on the legs. Then came across this product. Was bit sceptical if this would work as it as very soft but to my surprise this is fantastic. The feel is very soft but the holding of ankle is very good. Fit very well inside the shoe due to the open heel design (which is a disadvantage with the hard splints).

Tolles Produkt
