Bought these recently for my new Avata 2 drone. Fits great but had to cut a little off one end of each guard which sits closer to the front of the drone to make a perfect fit. This was a simple as using a pair of scissors and fits perfectly now. Also, took my drone out for it's 3rd flight, still getting the hang of things. Thought i'd be smart, put it in sports mode and try some tricky manoeuvres. However, I flew straight into a pole at about 30-40km/h. The drone survived without a scratch. The guards came off but protected the drone. Fit them back on and kept on flying. Great purchase.

I’m still learning to fly drones (in manual mode) and shortly before this purchase I had crashed my Avata 2, snapping a propeller and denting the middle frame in certain spots around that prop. I sent it away for repair (DJI Care Refresh is amazing btw!) and purchased these for a little extra protection. Just knowing they were on the drone gave me extra confidence - and I crashed again a few flights later. My first crash (no guard) was a 2/10, it bumped into a metal goalpost at 10kmph and fell about 15m to the grass. My second crash with these guard protectors on was about a 7.5/10, hitting the same post at 20kmph and losing control, repeatedly slamming into the grass and accelerating back into the air for about 80m until it hit a tree and finally disabled the motors, falling 10m onto a brick surface. Total damage? A thin pencil-sized gouge on the top frame, a cracked prop, and grass/leaves wedges into the guards. The prop even hung in long enough to turtle mode and fly back to me before being replaced! There’s obviously no way I can say “the guards definitely saved me from a repair/replacement” but I can say that I’m very confident that is true. I sadly lost one of the bumpers in the carnage and couldn’t locate it, so I returned here to buy another that wasn’t black (to be easier to locate if lost). However, only the black type was available domestically so I bought the same type/brand in red from another seller with overnight delivery. Other than the availability of all colours, I certainly recommend these to anyone who is learning or just wants a little protection around their drone!

Cannot protect against impact. Only scratches.

Very tight/snug fit. Recommend double checking the fitment around the inside of the thickest area of the prop guards as it sometimes takes a bit of extra pressure the get it all the way around the guard, but once that’s done it’s not going anywhere! Also it does matter which piece goes on which side of the prop guards. If you put them on the wrong side they won’t wrap around the thickest part of the prop guards correctly so it’s pretty easy to tell if you’ve got them installed on the wrong side. Flown with it several times without issues. Might affect the aerodynamics a bit but worth it to me for the added peace of mind.

I had to trim about a 1/4" off of both sides of each prop guard to make it fit correctly. If you just place it on the drone "as is", the ends have a tendency to fall off. Once I trimmed both guards, it seems to fit much better and more locked in place on the drone.
