Another Great Speaker from Ultimate Ears!
Iโve owned several UE Boom models over the past 10 years and have purchased them as gifts for others. The MegaBoom is my favorite with its rich 360 degree sound, long battery life, and the fact that itโs waterproof and floatable out at the pool. Iโve never actually plunked one in the pool (Iโve used it in the shower though), but I feel confident knowing if it got knocked in, it would be fine. Party Up through the app is amazing and getting even better over the years โ I donโt recall the stereo option, but I now can either mirror the speakers so that each has all channels, or I can opt to put them in stereo mode which is pretty darn cool. I would still like UE speakers if they were only standalone devices, but the fact that I can link up to 150 devices and place them in various places for gatherings makes it an undeniably great product! Iโve even borrowed extras from family & friends for big parties. I just bought a new MegaBoom 4 and thought it would be fun to compare to my MegaBoom 3. Honestly, theyโre both amazing, and while I could hear a little more depth of sound from the 4 (maybe), the sound was very very similar. If you own a 3, adding a new one is great, but I probably wouldnโt recommend spending on a new one simply to upgrade. I was a little disappointed that the 4 canโt use the Power Up base. It has a USB-C connection, but no ability to dock to a base. I suppose that really shouldnโt matter, but Iโve just found it much easier to ensure itโs always charged if I plop the speaker on its dock and not having to fish out a cord that has fallen behind a piece of furniture because I unplugged the speaker. Silly? Yeah, I know. Itโs just a personal preference and I wish they had kept that feature. The MegaBoom device does not have a mic, so it cannnot be used for 2-way communication. The 4 does have the ability to speak into your phone and broadcast your voice through the speaker using the Ultimate Ears app. If youโre in the market for a new portable Bluetooth speaker, donโt hesitate โ itโs absolutely worth it. Hint: theyโre pretty much indestructible, so if you find one on Amazon Resale (formerly Amazon Warehouse), itโs a great way to get one at a terrific bargain and itโs likely in good shape. Floating in the pool is going to be even better this summer. Canโt wait!

Buy it once and love it forever!
Wow! You wonโt believe the quality and volume of sound this thing puts out! I have had it a year now and Iโm still amazed. Magic elf engineers must have designed and built this thing. Only one small complaint being battery replacement. After ten months of near constant use the battery was losing power to where it needed frequent recharging. I bought a higher capacity replacement battery here on Amazon and ran into a struggle getting it apart to replace with the new battery. This speaker is waterproof so itโs sealed up exceptionally well but you have to break the seal to replace the battery. Just watch a YouTube video for instructions. This will not stop me from buying another one should mine get lost overboard or wear out over time. Friends always remark on the quality of sound this compact unit puts out. Would make a fantastic Christmas gift to a boater, camper, Raver, or backyard party.

Honestly NOT worth the high price
I found this speaker very unimpressive for the exhorbitantly high price. I expected a top end sound with depth and base. There was not. Sound was โtinnyโ and the speaker dramatically lacked any kind of bass. I tried multiple songs and music genres from my playlist. Comparing it to my $80 Bose Soundlink II and the Bose sounded as good if not better. This is just a fair speaker, nothing in particularly outstanding about it, tho you may like the app for controlling it. I returned mine within a half hour and went with the JBL charge for the same price. I expect that feelable bass and depth from that product. This Ult Ear product would be decent if it were priced at around $100, but no more. Update: As stated I got the CHARGE5 from JBL and it costs around the same as this one. BUT the sound was dramatically superior to the (not so) Ultimate Ears MegaBoom speaker for $200. Iโm extremely glad I made the switch to JBL, I get nothing from them for this, except the all around higher quality sound with an appropriate amount of sub woofer to it.If youโre considering which one, then go with the JBL Charge of the Flip is a little cheaper but I do not have one of those. Speaking of cheaper, like I said before, the Bose Soundlink Color 2 is a great quality compact speaker for less than $100, that puts out a rich depth kind of sound. I was hugely disappointed with the Ult Ear, especially at that price point.

Sounds great for the size and battery life is good. I've had great experiences with UE speakers and will probably buy more when the time comes.

Great Wireless Speaker
The fourth one we purchased in our Megaboom collection. Perfect speaker that links together with other Megabooms in a โParty Modeโ for indoor or outdoor functions.

Logitech Speakers with Unsurprising Underwhelming Performance
===================== Overview: 3/5 Stars (scroll down for full review) Pros: - Very Portable - Sounds Nice Out of the Box - App not needed Cons: - EQ doesn't change much - Tweeters are meh, if it even has any - Bass is non existent - Doesn't get that loud and loses clarity --------------------- ===================== List of use: All when I want something more portable and less disturbing than the Sony ULT Field 5 - Outdoors - Working out - In the garage --------------------- IN THE BOX: - Speaker - Charging Cable ===================== Review: Few things that need to be said, I replaced this within a week but kept them with the Sony ULT Field 5 a far more superior bluetooth speaker (got them on sale for $250). It uses Logitech drivers I am not an audiophile but I do have my preferences and there is something with Logitech drivers that don't sound good to me. Kind of expensive for the underwhelming performance as the "best" bluetooth speaker right now according to a lot of tech reviews which is why I grabbed them. Onto the review, the price for these are $200 I think you can find better or equivalent sounding speakers for cheaper and from companies that actually make good home theater equipment. Out of the box they sound good but that is about it. Lackluster bass almost non existent (which surprised me), mids are really good, and the highs are meh like just typical Logitech drivers. Nothing special about them but also nothing noteworthy of them. I think these are mono speakers too so I think that is what disturbs the clarity when being played louder. I am not sure if that is true but I have played tracks where 2 guitars are mixed into the left and right channels but these don't distinguish the difference. I also found it funny how the speakers sound better when facing them away from you and I mean like not pointing them into a wall it was open space and the front is not facing you. Doing this the highs were more pronounced and the bass was noticeable. Guitars and vocals were beautiful on these speakers but everything else was underwhelming. I have tried EQing the speaker but nothing really changes or its very subtle and makes them sound worse. It doesn't get very loud, like they are loud but not $200 MEGABOOM loud. I even put them on max volume and they were not that loud and lost a lot of clarity. Compared to the Sony ULT Field 5s that I replaced them with, the Sony's are a little over half volume and they are blowing wigs off. Yes the Sony is bigger and yes the Sony is more expensive but at $200 I expected a lot more out of the MEGABOOM 4 especially for bluetooth speakers. The MEGABOOM 4 is extremely portable BUT its disappointing that they didn't include some carry clip for it so I added my own. Battery life is a little disappointing too. It lasts a while but the worst part is that it doesn't keep a charge well at all. I have to charge the speaker once a week or else its just dead and this is not using the speaker for the week. Compared to the Sony I have used them for at least an hour/day for this past week and a half and they are still sitting at 60 percent. There is an app for it but it is not necessary! There are a few extra things but nothing crucial that you can't do with the onboard buttons on the speaker. Looking back on the purchase I would have never bought them knowing that it was a Logitech Brand, buy it when it goes on sale (lowest I have seen is like 150ish), get the Sony ULT Field 3 because those actually sound better and is cheaper. I will continue to use the MEGABOOM 4 and see if anything changes. ---------------------

Outstanding Sound and Durability! Worth Every Penny
My Favorite Portable Speaker! I had to replace my old MEGABOOM 2, and I am definitely not disappointed with the upgrade. In fact, I now own four MEGABOOM 4 speakers so I can use the PartyUp feature in the app, and wow, what a difference! The sound is incredibly well balanced, with clear highs, rich mids, and impressive bass for such compact speakers. I place one speaker in each corner of our outdoor patio, sit back, and simply enjoy. The audio remains crystal clear even at higher volumes. Battery life is excellent as well. We typically listen for a few hours each night and only need to recharge them after 5โ6 days of use. We constantly receive compliments from friends and family on the sound quality, and many are surprised that such powerful sound comes from speakers this size. If you're looking for a durable, portable speaker with outstanding sound quality and long battery life, I highly recommend the MEGABOOM 4.

Megaboom4, no good speakers?
This is my opinion, and my view of Megaboom4. Opinions are BS, no one is obliged to personally take them. I read comments about how bad they are, specially if you pair more than one speaker in party mode. I also watched YouTube videos where the reviews are based on only one speaker, but so far mostly I've seen are megabomm3 reviews for some reason. When using one speaker, for me, the sound was good, but not so great. Sometimes I had minor, almost fainted chirping distorted sounds coming out the one speaker. The fix was restarting my phone. Then, I bought a seccond megaboom4 speaker. Adding a second Megaboom4 to the Firts Megaboom4 speaker, well, at first they sounded terrible, and it just confirmed what some youtube reviews where there claiming that the speakers can't pair properly. I heard in YouTube that the songs when played they keep skeeping the music back and forth, and that isinterrupts the songs badly. Yes, this is true, and the chirping static sound was worse with two of the speaker playing at the same time. I was like.. hmm,, yeah. They are bad, but was it worth buying them? So, I was disappointed, but i decided to turn off the speakers, and I restarted my cellphone..and then,, there you have it. Cristal clear sound, in double mod and even in stereo mod. They sound amazing both together, and my bet is that the more speaker you add they will sound better. If you plaxe yiurself in beween them speakers, the base is strong and powerful, and the tones and frequencies of the song played sound great to my ears, but this is my opinion. So, there you have it. No issues with blue tooth when pairing more than one megaboom4, and as for the chirping sound some youtubers and reviewing people talk about? Well, that's B$..*&^%.. don't belive them coz I don't belive them, and I am so grateful I didn't belive them. I recommend the Megaboom4, I paid 199$ plus tax Canadian dollars for each Megaboom4, but so what? They are a great traveling pair of Megaboom4 speakers for me.
