Main Body Assembly Housing Compatible with Dyson V8 SV10 Main Body Assembly Vacuum Cleaner Casing Part 967812-01, Built-in V8 SV10 Trigger Switch Assembly Replacement

Fixed my Dyson right up. Wish they would include the special tiny torx screwdriver you will need to remove the motor but that would just be a bonus. Part looks great and everything fits and works great. No complaints

This part fits and functions exactly like the original one. Replacing it was easier than I expected since the two smaller wires are push connectors on the circuit board instead of being soldered in. This was an excellent value for a significant savings over buying it from Dyson. It appears to be an actual OEM quality part, with the only difference I can find is the lack of markings for power selector switch and branding. Look at the pictures and you can see where it appears to have come out of the same molds as the original housing the broke when it got knocked over. If it holds up lasts half as long as the original one it's. Worth it for the price compared to buying a new vacuum. I see no reason to be afraid of durability issues with this part seeming to be just like the original.

Everything was perfect. At first. I thought it wasn’t going to be, but after assembling, my favorite vacuum is back.

Perfect replacement for my dyson V8 Animal. I followed a YT video for instructions. The only thing that slowed me a bit was removing the motor from the old housing. To elaborate; the old rubber was kind of "dry-stuck" to the old plastic housing. I took my time, and used a pocket screwdriver to work around the outer edges of the rubber motor retaining ring. I used the screwdriver to essentially wiggle the rubber ring out of the housing. Before reinstalling the motor unit, I used a tiny bit of WD-40 on each rubber contact point. I slowly and carefully wiggled the motor (and its round rubber retainer) back into the plastic housing. All four wires were perfect length and went in, no problem. Based on mold lines in the new housing, I firmly believe this housing was made by the manufacturer of the original housing. I paid like 32 dollars for the housing. I'm happy to have a new handle that isn't shedding small pieces of broken plastic. Rating; "Two Thumbs Up"!!

Do not buy this. I am pretty handy but this doesn't come with all of the necessary parts needed. I returned it promptly after I realized it wouldn't work.

First replacement the trigger and the housing cracked after 8 months; Amazon would not help as “past return window”- keep in mind that the original Dyson part lasted 6 years. So I bought another replacement, this on doesn’t feel like it’s going to last long. Poor quality part.

Perfect fit, just no labels. I’ve had to repair a lot of things on our V8 and this was a first. I got stuck trying to figure out how to remove the motor but YouTube to the rescue. Very simple. Cleaned everything up in the process, should be working and smelling much better now.

Just like the original, just a little hard to get motor out but with a little mechanical ability it’s very easy.

Working just fine. Original was cracked. So replaced with this.
