Clean output and tons of functions and ARB waveforms plus AM FM modes is beautiful!
Absolutely love this! Super easy to use and clean output with so many cool arbitrary waveforms to play with and AM FM mode output. Perfect for my workbench!

I received a used unit, works well for a cheap generator, sketchy website, generates RFI
The unit I got was sloppily re-packed, had greasy fingerprints on the screen and smelled of tobacco. However, it works well enough and I don't want to wait for a replacement. To get the complete manual and the waveform editor you will need to visit the company website. There is some hanky-panky going on with the address shown of the front of the quick guide; Brave, Chrome and Edge browsers won't load it but Firefox works (something to do with DNS resolution). The link on the back of the quick guide (.cn domain) doesn't work at all for me. There may be some serious security issues here. It has all the standard function generator stuff, plus good AM and FM modulators and tone bursts and a large repertoire of built-in arbitrary waveforms, including some wacky ones (first picture). It lacks a sync output which makes using modulated functions such as sweep generation a bit awkward. I installed the waveform editor on my computer to prove that the interface works, but I haven't tried any edits yet. Frequency accuracy is great. When I zero-beat the generator with WWV at 15 MHz it is only 6 Hz high, a very respectable 0.4 ppm, far better than the claimed 30 ppm. Compared to an AM radio station at 630 kHz (not necessarily the best reference) the generator is 1 Hz high, a still respectable 1.7 ppm. I tried to do an accuracy check at 60 Hz, but today I learned that the short-term accuracy of the power line frequency isn't all that great; you have to average over 24 hours to get an accurate result. At 1 kHz it is within a few ppm of my oscilloscope's 1 kHz calibration signal. There is a bit of a radio-frequency interference problem. One source is noise from the power adapter that gets conducted through the common connections. The signal at the BNC is pristine, but if any part of the connection from there to the destination is not completely shielded (such as the cheap included BNC breakout), the noise will show up (second picture). The supplied power adapter is actually pretty good noise-wise but not perfect. A battery with a USB output is much cleaner (third picture) and has the added advantage of making the instrument totally portable. Worse is radiated VHF/UHF noise from the electronics. My tinySA spectrum analyzer (fourth picture) shows this quite clearly. The bars on the display are local television stations. The video shows the analyzer range of 300 to 900 MHz with the generator power off, then on, then off again. At close range the TV signals are nearly obliterated. The display on the screen is informative and it accurately shows the waveform as it might appear on an oscilloscope. The controls are occasionally awkward, with some functions requiring three or four button presses when it could have been done with one or two. Overall, it is no harder to operate than a professional brand-name function generator with similar capabilities. If you don't mind the shortcomings (mainly the lack of RF shielding, a sync output and a second output) , this signal generator does most of what a $500 professional unit will do.

Great value! Easy to use. Quick to learn.
Great multi-function signal generator. I love that can sweep frequencies in both linear and log base. It adjusts the frequency quite easily: set it for Hz, KHz, MHz (or time base); set the curser at the 1s, 10s, 100s, 1000s, etc. and turn the dial. Having many front panel buttons make selections simpler and preclude a lot of confusing menu-diving. It’s small, light, don’t hardly need the poorly-worded manual at all. The calibration is quite accurate.

Easy to use.
Very easy to use for amplifier and loudspeaker evaluation.

Save settings non existent
If you read the instruction manual and think that you are getting the capability to store instrument set up forget it. You get that with the next model up the DGE2035 for the same price. Accuracy is not there.

Good to 60 mhz
Pleased. It works as i get deeper and deeper into its functioning. Now, i like it. It works for my radio work ( HF. 5-30Mhz. ) having fun with it. Has everything i need now. If i get into FM dxing radio work where ill need to sweep an fm signal and modulate it at 108 mhz and later higher ill look for a 200 Mhz or above generator . But great addition to my burgeoning radio shack.

Bien, bien.

Servizio Amazon top come sempre, grazie !
