According to the relay spec, the nominal current draw is 71mA, and if for a 8 relay board that would be 568mA, and if you turn on all 8 relays simultaneously, you'll need 2-3 time more to achieve the latency. **Q: Just purchased one of these. Can I hook it directly to the Raspberry Pi or do I need to use a Mosfet or Opto Isolator?** A: Based on the picture, this 2 relay shield already has opto isolators for both relays (that is what the two 4 pin modules are).
