Bought these to have lying around for occasional use to validate stuff I think I know like, “is that a 5/16 bolt or 3/8” or “is that 3/8” tubing” and for that they are fine. Otherwise: - the markings are off about 1/16”, - all but 2 of the sliders are so loose as to be annoying and barely usable, - only one slider has enough friction . They aren’t accurate enough to make any sense using the vernier scale and there are no directions if you don’t know how to use the vernier. But for the money…..

I can't speak to using these to measure tattoos or eyebrows, but I have several similar calipers scattered around the house, truck and shop, and use at least one of them daily. I will say these are more cheaply made than those I've purchased in the past from a certain large tool discounter. Yes, you can get five of these for the cost of three from H.F., but the diffence is notable. These do not operate smoothly and are much lower quality. I doubt I'll buy more when these get lost, broken, fall apart, etc. That said, when the project calls for "measure it with chalk and cut it with an ax" accuracy, these will do the job. UPDATE: The description says these have an inlaid metal bar. They do not. It’s cheap plastic like the rest of the caliper. Also, the scale is difficult to read because there’s no differentiation between the markings. These are getting returned.
