Sturdy design, quality product. Easy to use and worth every penny. If you have a 2 story house I would recommend one for every bedroom on the second floor.

looks sturdy. I did try it out by placing it in the window and down the side of the house- seems like it will work great. I like how you can fold it all back up and place it in a bag for storage. I hopefully will never be able to leave a full review!

Great product, as a firefighter I’m huge on having the proper tools when plan A goes out the window. I’d recommend this to anyone who has a two story house or an apt. The only negative I have on this product is that the metal on the back of the rungs should be smoothed out to prevent slicing hands open; that being said a simple mitigation would be to just keep a pair of gloves in the bag. Other things to check before buying is dimensions of your window ledges, as I seen in some review it’s not always a one size fits all.

I bought this emergency escape ladder for my son’s room, and it gives me so much peace of mind. His bedroom is on the opposite side of our upstairs, so having a safe and reliable way out in an emergency was really important to me. This ladder is sturdy, easy to store, and surprisingly simple to use—even in a stressful situation. We practiced setting it up together, and it hooks securely onto the window frame without wobbling or slipping. It feels solid when climbing, and the steps are wide enough that he can get down safely if he ever needed to. I also love that the whole thing folds up small and fits right under his bed for quick access. Hopefully we’ll never have to use it, but knowing it’s there gives me comfort as a parent. Highly recommend for any upstairs bedrooms—especially kids’ rooms on the far end of the house.

I haven't used it yet (no fire or other emergencies), but the Hausse Retractable Escape Ladder is perfect for our two-story apt. I checked out several others first, then chose this one. I didn't unravel the ladder, but I can see the sturdy quality and workmanship. And it appear easy to deploy. I'm glad it purchased this brand.

Good quality and a necessary item to have on hand. I live on the second floor and feel safer now.

The rungs being away from the house make it less dangerous and much easier to use. Strong hook keeps it well-anchored on the window sill.

I am a little disappointed because there is a sentence in the instruction manual that says: Please replace the product every 3 years although without use.
