Like others who've left reviews, my mags and these baseplates didn't jive, so it was off to the workbench. I put a piece of masking tape on the missing hole and laid it out with measurements from the OEM plate. I scored the outline with a fresh blade in the utility knife a couple times to establish a guide for a drill bit. I put an 1/8" drill bit through the corners and followed with a 1/4" bit dead-center of the cutout. I connected the corner dots with my utility knife and violin! Works like a charm. Great fit and feel compared to the 17-round mags with the sleeve on them. ### ⭐ Does NOT Fit M&P Compact... *by T***G on April 24, 2025* I should have looked at the reviews and photos before ordering these. Would have saved myself the trouble.These 100% DO NOT fit the Smith and Wesson M&P Compact magazines. The Compact magazines have a hole to the rear, not dead center like these are.I saw one reviewer modified theirs with a tool. I definitely don't have time for that. I'll be sending these back.ALSO NOTE, the photo shows two. There are in fact two that come in the package. I mistakingly purchased three boxes thinking they just used two in the product photo.
