Takes the color out with no damage works wonders, and you can dye the same day
When I was a kid, my mom and I used to use this on my hair when I would get adventurous and die at random colors that she hated and wanted it out it works so good. Takes all the pigmentation out. It takes you back to your natural state sometimes it does come out a little orange, but if you’re planning to diet it right away, it’s amazing because it doesn’t have any ammonia no peroxide no bleach nothing damaging to your hair. If you can tolerate the smell kind of smell smells like a perm. Other than that I have no complaints. My daughter hair was a dark blue almost like a black blue. I put this on her hair and it turned it like almost like the color of a penny it was actually a very pretty color and then we just put a sand blonde on there and toned it out and it turned out fantastic. I give this five stars all the way around. I would use this all day long no questions ask don’t you can dye your hair the same day literally no regrets.

WOW THIS STUFF IS FOR REAL!
Started with dark and i mean DARK red hair layered on top of multiple hot pink home dye jobs and it lightened to a rose gold color. If you follow the instructions EXACTLY and I mean exactly (yes you will have to rinse for like an hour, if you want results you better do it) you will see A LOT of lift for just one box. I have decently thick shoulder length hair, but I parted it quite a bit in order to fully saturate my head, then used a hair dryer on the plastic cap for 10 out of the 20 minutes of processing time. Now a warning, the smell is NO JOKE. It genuinely smells like skunks had a rotten egg and trash juice party on your head. The smell is tough to get out as well. Id recommend a strong hydrating and fragrant hair mask to leave in for awhile when you're done and even then it may take more than one shower to get the smell fully out. For the love of god dont leave your bathroom. I left for a second, and now there's a smell somewhere in the carpet but I can't fully tell where. Regardless, this product does work as advertised when you actually follow the directions. A must buy if you want color out but can't bleach your hair.

Color Oops is best for me, but all color removal is hard.
Disclaimer: Going to a professional is the preferred method when you’re talking about changing/ stripping color. But after tons of money spent and tons of salons and professionals tried, I have found that DIY is the method that works FOR ME. Is it right for you? I don’t know. I am impressed with this product and would recommend, but please understand it is not a miracle treatment. Color removal is often an arduous process that requires patience, strict adherence to directions and possible second or third applications are a reality in the color removing game. This is true for ANY COLOR REMOVAL PRODUCT I HAVE TRIED. Considering the above, Color Oops is my favorite in-home, DIY product so far. ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM: this product SMELLS REALLY BAD. VENTILATE— I used bathroom fan and a portable fan with bathroom door open. Don’t get it on your hands, clothes, or any objects—even if it gets on the countertop, use cleaner to wipe it up. ANYTHING this stuff touches will stink for days. Make sure you wear disposable gloves and plastic cap that comes in box. Throw away bottles, gloves, cap and tie up your trash bag tight when you’re done. Even use old clothes/ towel if you have them and throw those away, too (I just washed an old towel on highest setting to get smell out). For me, this is an ideal alternative to bleach. I can’t bleach my hair anymore than I already have, it’s too fragile. This product is way less damaging than bleach, but it will, however, open up pores to let the color out—so it will make it brittle until you condition it really well. Strand test is crucial—but understand your hair color will not change much if at all during strand test—color removal happens during the 15-20 minute rinse and 2 to 3 shampoos once you’re finished with the treatment. Application is quick (don’t drip it around! no metal clips! use plastic combs, clips, etc.) and only takes 20 minutes to process. Wear the plastic cap so the heat from your head keeps it nice and warm. The rinsing is the hard part. Rinse hot as you can handle for about 20 minutes to get the color out. The product opens the pores, the rinsing removes the color. Your hair will stink even after the rinsing, but the shampoo step removes the smell. Shampoo a couple times after use—USE A CLARIFYING SHAMPOO—moisturizing or color protecting shampoos will re-seal the pores and prevent further color removal during the process. I shampooed 3 times with a cheap, generic clarifying shampoo and lots of rinsing in between. This really got the last bits of color out for me. After I got as much color as possible out, I conditioned and used a protein treatment packet (follow directions—leaving protein on too long isn’t good for your hair) to seal and soften my hair after. I’m happy—BUT MY EXPECTATIONS ARE TEMPERED. I will have to do it again in 2 weeks to a month bc there’s still some red tones hanging around. Not much, but red is a very stubborn color. I have to wait 2 to 4 weeks bc my hair is too brittle to do any treatment that opens pores back to back. I have to heal it for a while with gentle, moisturizing shampoos and good conditioner before doing it again. Some people have healthy hair and don’t have to wait. BECAUSE MY HAIR IS ALREADY BLEACHED BEFORE COLOR REMOVER, I ALSO HAVE TO WAIT BEFORE ANY BLEACH/ OR DEVELOPER OR FOR AT LEAST 2 TO 4 WEEKS—so I have to wait to re-color unless I want to go dark again. I don’t. I just want to make it a nicer blonde. Meantime, bleach blonde with “ombre” roots it is. If you made it this far, you’re a champ. I wish you good hair forever.

Works great and leaves hair soft
I used Color Oops Hair Color Remover with Extra Conditioning and I’m very impressed with the results. It did exactly what it promises by removing the unwanted hair color without damaging my hair. What I liked the most is the extra conditioning—my hair did not feel dry or brittle after using it. Instead, it felt soft, manageable, and much healthier than I expected after a color-removal process. The application process was easy to follow, and the results were noticeable right away. This is a great option if you want to remove hair dye without bleaching. I would definitely use it again and highly recommend it to anyone looking to safely correct or remove hair color.

Smell is NOT bad - but does it work?
I used this product for the first time following instructions carefully. I laid old towels over most of the surfaces and the floor (in case of spillage). After application, I used 2 disposable shower caps to cover my head. The smell is really NOT BAD. I see a lot of reviews that warn and complain about smell. It's actually less than the smell at the salon. Anyway, i followed the instructions and rinsed for 20 min, which is an eternity (use a timer), but got thru it and 2 subsequent shampoo/rinse. It works pretty well on new color, but not well at all on old color. It also does not remove red undertones (think golden brown color). Is it really worth the hassle if you cannot lighten the bottom half of your hair ... probably not

Will always buy when needed
Love it, always a 10/10 for me to get unwanted color out. Doesn’t work 100% of the time but I have fun with the new colors I guy stripping other ones. Definitely works best for natural colors over vibrant colors.

Please buy!
Please buy!!!! It worked on my hair! I have dread locs and it Penetrated thru my hair and worked. I was worried it wouldn't work on my locs but it did. I put the cap on it came with. Left the stuff in for 22 minutes. The only this is that it smells. But it's worth the smell!

I loved this product. I had been dying my hair copper for some time now and I wanted to return to my natural color, ash blonde. Since I didn't want to wait for the color to grow out of my hair I decided to try color oops. I've already seen quite a lot of reviews on the product and they kinda went both ways. So before I used color oops I washed my hair with dandruff shampoo for a week because that already gets rid of lot of the red color in your hair. Then I used color oops. It was very liquid and had a nasty smell but after about 25 minutes you could see a lot of difference. My hair is blonde now. It still has a slight red undertone and it isn't my natural color (it more honey or golden blonde now) but it will seem a lot more natural when I let this color grow out of my hair. I'm very pleased about how my hair turned out.

No way!!! OK I bought this hoping for the best unboxed it got it ready, after seeing the bottle in the liquid I was absolutely like no way. Is this going to work? So I slapped it on my head. Had this floral smell and then a smell of a Septic truck. I’m like OK. Either nothing’s gonna happen. This is going to work or I’m going to lose my hair. At this point, I’m fully committed. I am blow drying my hair right now, and it has lifted three applications of box die that I wanted out of my hair This product completely exceeded any expectation I ever had and then some Wow!!! I want to do this amazing purple, but I ended up doing a brown and then a chocolate brown and then the purple and it just wasn’t working out so now I can do a very light bleach tone it out put the purple on and it’ll be amazing of course I will be giving my hair a hot minute to calm down after all that!! Thank you!!! Fabulous

I recently tried the Color Oops Regular Strength Hair Color Remover (RS100), and I'm thrilled to share my experience with you. My hair journey involved layers upon layers of red hair dye, and I decided it was time for a change. I chose Color Oops to help me with this transformation, and it didn't disappoint. First off, the application process was surprisingly easy. The instructions were clear, and the product was straightforward to use. I appreciated that there was no need for complicated mixing or multiple steps. Now, let's talk about the smell. Hair color removers can be notorious for their strong, unpleasant odors, but Color Oops was tolerable. While it didn't smell like a bouquet of roses (let's be realistic, it's a chemical process), it was much more bearable than I expected. But what truly matters is the result, right? Color Oops worked wonders on my layered red hair. It effectively removed the built-up color, leaving my hair ready for a fresh start. The end result was satisfying and gave me the blank canvas I needed for my next hair color adventure. In conclusion, Color Oops RS100 is a reliable choice if you're looking to remove hair color, even if you've piled on the layers. The application is straightforward, the smell is manageable, and the results are impressive. Give it a try if you're ready for a hair color transformation!
