Neo Cold Sore Treatment Device – Long Lasting and Reusable Heat Pen (Herpotherm neo)

I decided to delay my review until I was fairly sure it's effective. I stopped using any other preventative measures (except 3, see below). It's been nearly 5 months, I've had the tingling stage at least 50 times since then (no joke), and yet i'm completely sore-free. At first I thought this was a concidence, especially after a particularly bad tingling stage once. But so far so good! Cold sores have affected my mental health for a long time now. I'm guessing anyone who's on this page can related. I used to get them every 2 months, not always in the same spot. Especially when my immune system is down or i'm in a lot of stress. They hurt. I'm constantly aware of them. Wearing masks during the pandemic has been a godsend because I could leave the house without feeling so insecure about having them. As such, I've been doing everything in my power to fight them. I have tried every cream and sticker in the book. Not a single sore. Still can't believe it. This is huge for me. ________________________________ 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗜'𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁: - The very moment a feel a slight tingle I use it. ASAP. - If the tingling is in more than one place, or in a large area. I use it more than once (letting it cool in between), and try to cover the tingling area. - If I feel it again, I use the device once more. - I tend to feel the tingling stage during bedtime, when this happens, I wake up and use it. One night, I had to use it 5 times (in like 7 hours). - TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE.... so I keep it next to my bed, in my pocket when i'm out, it's always nearby. ________________________________ 𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀: - I currently take L-lysine (1000 mg) daily. I've been doing this for ~2 years, I found that it helps in reducing cold sore frequency, as well as the damage caused by the cold sore (frequency sore area), and it helps healing quicker. - Lip with SPF when I'm out (especially when it's sunny or windy outside) ________________________________ I was reading a few of the reviews on here, and I have a few notes regarding how to use it: - 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗻𝘀/scarring: If you're pressing it into your skin, you're doing it wrong, and chances are you're going to get burned/damage your skin!!!! The device is supposed to heat the only the EXTERNAL layers of skin to 50 degrees celsius for 3 seconds. This SHOULDNT burn the skin, the area will be a bit red and that pinkness will go away. Scarring occurs when the deeper layer of the skin, the dermis, is damaged. Remember that damaged skin is actually a good environment for cold sores to develop!!!! You shouldn't use it with creams/gels on. Make sure to keep the device clean. Simply hold the device against the skin directly, so that the plate is in full contact with the skin without pressing it into the skin. - 𝗜𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝘁/𝘂𝗻𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻𝘁: Yes, it's definitely not too pleasant, but you get used to it at some point after which it's not too bad. If you're wondering what it feels: turn on the hot water tap (if your heater is at 49-50 degrees) with your fingertip under it, and allow it become hot and once it's reached maximum heat wait 2-3 seconds before moving your hand away. You can handle it. Imagine that on a smaller scale (5 mm in diameter) on/near your lip. The temperature does gradually go up making it more bearable. I suggest gripping something and/or watching something to distract yourself. Just give in to the heat, and it'll be over before you know it. Again, DO NOT push it into your skin. I suggest that you barely let it touch your skin the first time (so you know what you're getting into), but make sure to hold it for the 3 seconds. If I can bare it, you can bare it too, i'm sure of it. Rest assured that while it feels really hot, it's not damaging your skin. 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴/𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲: it needs to be used AS SOON AS POSSIBLE for it to prevent the sore. Familiarise yourself with the tingling stage (prickly sensation, burns, itchiness, feeling of tightness, pain). If you're not sure whether that was actual tingling or a hair was tickling your lip, use it anyway. When in doubt, use it. it also needs to be used whenever you feel tingling. If you felt a tingle 40 minutes ago and used it, but then felt the tingle again, go ahead and use it again. You need to apply it at the site of the tingling. If you missed, allow the device to cool, and then apply it again. If it's in more than one area, use it on each area, allowing the device to cool between uses. Don't touch the skin after you apply it, let the skin cool down on it's own. 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗯𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲: The battery that came with the device didn't last long (literally 2 weeks after I purchased it). Since then, I've changed the battery once, and it's still working well. Make sure that the you get a good battery and that the battery is placed the right direction. (I do hope that some day, they'd design a rechargable pen.) 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡: Works perfectly at completely preventing cold sores if used at the right time and in the correct manner.

This actually works. It reduced the episode from first symptoms to complete healing from 9-14 days to 4-5 days. It’s incredible and blisters haven’t developed to cause any pain or aesthetic discomfort. Just very small scars that healed very quick. You do have to be on it from first signs though and apply it maybe 40-50 times a day, but that requires minimum of effort. If blisters form a bit above the lip, you need to be on it even more due to the thickness of the skin, but it still stopped blisters from forming. When the skin becomes very sensitive due to the episode trying to manifest, you will feel a sharp pain from the heat, but you have to bare it like a champ. It’s worth the struggle to achieve the result. Maybe in time, if the virus cannot manifest and multiply like it used to, it’ll eventually be destroyed from the nervous system too, maybe. Very good product. If this also had concentrated UV light complementary with the heat, the results would be even more fascinating. Or maybe you can use another device with UV together with this. Couple these with a lemon based cream and the episode would probably last for 2 days only with minimum of impact on daily life. Amazing. Highly recommended. I hope the device will last for a long time. This I only a review for efficiency, not technical, as I only had it for a month and used it for three days. But all good so far.

Suffered with cold sores for the past 10 years and I am very impressed by this device. At the beginning of the day the cold sore was very red, weeping and swollen. Over the day I had been using herpotherm. The device gets very hot but it is bearable. The tip of the pen stays hot for 3 seconds. I used it about 5 times today. If your cold sore is large you may have to move the pen and press the heat button again to make sure you are treating the whole cold sore. Over one day I feel that the swelling has reduced by half. There is no more weeping and it has started to scab over. The best thing about it is being able to have a dry lip back that is not oozing or bleeding.

Way too expensive so dropped a star! This is wonderful and I have avoided lengthy cold sores by using this multiple times as soon as I know one is appearing. I haven’t bought that useless cold sore cream in years now (had the previous version of this but it has a loose connection and stupid battery).

I can’t believe this actually works! I have always suffered with cold sores and they are just painful and embarrassing. I started to feel a tingle so placed the order for this. It came the next day and the blister had appeared. I used this. It works by heating up and you have to hold it onto the cold sore for 3 seconds. I used it multiple times throughout the day and it prevented the cold sore getting and worse and helped it to heal. No one even knew I had one. I never leave reviews but this product deserved one.

Just doesn't work for me, I have tried to follow all of the advice on other peoples reviews, like using it when you feel the dreaded 'tingle' and no, if anything I'm convinced it makes it worse for me, really gutted as I struggle with coldsores frequently. I've also been using cream and taking vitamin supplements to try and boost my immune system but I guess I'll go on suffering with them, nevermind. The heat from the pen is unpleasant but not overwhelming

Effective from the very first application. It stops growth immediately—but you need to catch it in the early stages. The process only takes about three seconds. You’ll feel a quick burning sensation, but it’s brief and not bothersome. For me, this has been a long-lasting investment. I no longer have to worry about buying patches or creams—it really simplifies things.

Da poco ho iniziato a soffrire di erpes labiale, la prima volta in farmacia mi hanno dato il solito aciclovir che ho applicato per ben oltre 2 settimane, più volte al giorno senza grande risultato, probabilmente sarebbe sparito da solo nello stesso periodo. Ho cercato una soluzione a questo problema e ho trovato questo fantastico dispositivo! Ero scettica ma ho voluto tentare e... funziona!!! Il dispositivo è poco più grande di un rossetto, si toglie il cappuccio protettivo e si appoggia sulla zona interessata, si preme il pulsante, dopo poco si accende la luce verde e si sente il calore che inattiva il virus, la luce verde si spegne, dura pochi secondi, e il gioco è fatto! Applicato ai primi sintomi i classici "pizzicori/formicolii" una volta o due non ho più avuto episodi, nessuna vescicola. Meglio delle medicine che sono risultate inefficaci. Funziona con due pile AAA, per la durata delle batterie finora l'ho usato 5 volte e funziona ancora. Non fa comparire l'erpes e si ammortizza con i soldi che risparmi sugli inutili farmaci. Lo consiglio vivamente a chi soffre di questo piccolo ma fastidioso disturbo alle labbra .

Ich nutze Herpotherm schon seit Jahren und hatte zuvor noch die alte Version. Diese hat zwar immer zuverlässig funktioniert, aber der Deckel ließ sich mit der Zeit leider nicht mehr richtig schließen. Deshalb habe ich mich jetzt für die neue Herpotherm Neo Version entschieden und ich bin wirklich begeistert vom verbesserten Design. Für mich ist es mein absolutes Lieblingsprodukt bei Lippenherpes. Sobald ich auch nur das kleinste Kribbeln spüre, fange ich direkt an, das Gerät mehrmals täglich anzuwenden. In den meisten Fällen kommt der Herpes dadurch gar nicht erst richtig raus. Die Anwendung mit Wärme ist für mich eine echte Gamechanger-Methode – einfach, schnell und effektiv. Ich habe den Eindruck, dass die Hitze den Virus frühzeitig stoppt, was mir schon unzählige Male geholfen hat. Deshalb ist der Herpotherm für mich ein echter Lifesaver und ein fixer Bestandteil meiner Handtasche, ich habe ihn wirklich immer dabei. Zum Preis: Ja, er ist nicht ganz günstig, aber für die Wirkung und Zuverlässigkeit absolut gerechtfertigt. Für mich stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis definitiv. Ein kleiner Tipp: Achtet darauf, welche Batterie benötigt wird, und besorgt sie euch am besten direkt im Voraus. Ich habe sie gleich zusammen mit dem Gerät auf Amazon bestellt, das war für mich die einfachste Lösung. Auch positiv hervorzuheben: Die Verpackung war bei mir einwandfrei und sehr ordentlich. Ich hatte vorher einige Bewertungen gelesen, in denen von bereits geöffneten Verpackungen die Rede war – das kann ich in meinem Fall überhaupt nicht bestätigen, bei mir war alles perfekt. Klare Empfehlung von Herzen!

Super produit pour l'herpès labial, cela fonctionne très bien!! A utiliser dès que le bouton apparait, ça le dessèche rapidement et permet une cicatrisation beaucoup plus rapide. Coté douleurs ou sensation de chaud, c'est vraiment supportable. Je l'utilise en plus du tea tree et franchement, en peu de jours il n'y est plus alors que si j'utilise autre chose, j'en ai pour une semaine avec... Je recommande à 200%
