I bought these to replace the caster wheels which come with Ikea office chairs. Like so many other customers, the Ikea casters which lock up as soon as you get off their chair were unacceptable to me. I do understand why they use this design - probably they had somebody's kid get hurt while leaning on a chair, and that sort of accident pushed Ikea over the edge - no pun intended. These caster wheels are great, all around. Easy to install: just push them in. They roll better than the Ikea wheels ever did. Their caster and roll movements are both smooth and easy. Their soft tire surface seems safer for a wooden floor. Using on both wooden and tile floor, seem to be compatible. My opinion is these caster wheels look well made and strong. I bought a second set for a second Ikea chair. I would recommend these to owners of Ikea chairs. If you have small kids or toddlers, be careful - those chairs will move across your floor at the slightest touch! Do what you need to do!

At first, I purchased one set to see how it goes, And I was so pleased, so I bought another chair (second hand) and another set of wheels and the two chairs are great. The are very smooth and fast, very quite. Recommended.

I love these wheels!! They are so easy to install, easy to keep clean and makes wheeling around the room so much easier. Bought for use in my sewing room and they work perfectly on an Ikea chair that had that annoying safety feature of not rolling unless you are sitting in it. I replaced with these and no more problems. The wheels roll smoothly and don't seem to gather thread pieces as easily as the other wheels did. I will say, they work great on hard surface floors but don't think they'd work as well on carpet.

We have put these on both of our office chairs and love them. The db level dropped, they glide very smoothly on our wooden floor, they don't leave marks and the durability seems good. We've had them installed for a little over a month and are 100% satisfied. We bought a new office chair and removed the wheels that came with it and installed these. Same thing, low noise, easy roll and they even look good. Make sure to measure the inserts on your chair should you plan to replace the rollers. Some manufacturers make the recesses an odd size. On my office chair, I had to remove the complete wheel assembly including the insert. Fortunately, the new wheel shaft fits snugly into the chair's pre-drilled insert hole. We are very happy with them.

How could I have lived without these wheels??? My chair now rolls so smothly and easy. No effort on my part. Love them. Very easy to install too . And fit perfectly my IKEA chair. They are just as advertised.

These wheels roll smoothly and quietly. Perfect replacements for the STUPID IKEA DESIGNED chair wheels that DESTROY nice floor finishes. IKEA chair wheels lock when you sit in them, NOT when you're off!?! Meaning, you can't move an IKEA chair with IKEA wheels while you're sitting in it without SCRAPING YOUR NICE FLOOR. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5, is that these wheels make your chair sit a little higher. Ideally, they'd be a little smaller in diameter. I'm 5'11", and my chair is at the very lowest setting to be correct- if I were a shorter person, my legs would not be at right angles, and my thighs would be angled down to maintain feet flat-on-the-floor. So, these wheels are perfect for me, but a little high for shorter users who have the same chair. It would be nice if the same range of adjustability was available. Otherwise, definitely well worth buying- your floors will thank you!

These made my chair feel brand new. They look good, roll good and were easy to install.

I had originally ordered the "standard size" ones at 11mm (7/16) because it basically said "these are not for Ikea chairs", and I bought my chair at Office Depot. I received those and they were too big. Not owning a micrometer, it was hard for me to see the difference between 10mm and 11mm on my original casters. Anyway, I bought the slightly smaller 10mm (3/8) ones and they're perfect! I realize that these will likely leave divits in my floor mat, but I'll be replacing the carpet with tile soon anyway, so it won't matter. These wheels sit me up maybe a half inch higher than the original casters, and wow does it roll smoothly. These should be on every chair, seriously.

I love these wheels for my Ikea chair, they've made my rolling around so smooth. One thing to note is the wheels are a bit higher than the ones that come standard with your chair, so you will sit a bit higher than before. But for the gain in smoothness, I am quite happy

Purchased for use on hardwood floor. Quick delivery. Product looks good. Very easy to install and really fit my Ikea chair. I was a bit worried ordering wheels for Ikea chair given mixed reviews about Ikea chairs wheel swaps online. Absolutely silent. Had them on for a week now and used the whole time. Very smooth roll, however it does feel great when changing direction. Its then it feel a bit caught and detract from what I'm working on. Overall, good product.
