First of all - don’t listen to the other reviewer saying that the camera needs to manually be switched on. This was an installation mistake on his part. I wired the cable for the camera to my reverse light power supply, which makes it turn on automatically when switching into reverse. The installation was relatively easily and straightforward - it took about 4 hours to install a new radio, the camera, and four new speakers into my 2016 Nissan. The cord for the camera was long enough, but I drive a small car. I would expect needing an extension for something like a truck. I appreciate the value of this radio - I couldn’t find a better deal. The camera quality isn’t 100% perfect but good enough, it is especially helpful in adverse weather and dark conditions. The screen, although not the highest quality on the market, is bright and responsive. The Bluetooth links to my phone immediately after turning on the vehicle. The radio does everything it needs to do, and more than expected for the price I paid.

Remote does not work menu on the radio. You push it, it doesn't work. If you can hit the navigation button on the radio that doesn't work, you have to use it by the touchscreen. So that means that there's options that are still on the radio that you cannot get to, because the remote doesn't work. And everything besides the knob, it does not work on it.

I was very excited to find this as It was the only one I could afford that actually had all the features I wanted. It was a little difficult installing and It's definitely not perfect or the best on the market but for the price I think It's pretty good quality and so far It fits my needs and Iam happy with It. Hopefully It holds up but we'll see.

I had mine installed by Best Buy technician. Everything works Perfect. Backup comes on when vehicle is shifted into reverse. He even hooked up my Factory install Sub woofer. Awesome radio!

I bought 2 of these in Sept. 2024 & both of them have out dated maps---contacted BOSS cust. service and they think that I should pay for updates on 2 units I bought as BRAND NEW in Sept......really??...and that's my responsibility huh??--ALSO as the weather's gotten a little colder I've also noticed the CD player motor is getting louder & louder each day---so this one is going back to Amazon while still in the return window----we're stuck with the other one because it's past the return window my bad----I'd said I wouldn't do anymore reviews here..... because censors really make me want to puke.....can't wait to see what they can't stand about this TRUTH......

Appears to be a good ( not great ) product. The video screen looks washed but maybe I need to tweak the colors/contrast. The "backing up" video flickers but again that may have been the installer? I don't like to lambast anyone w/o knowing for sure but overall it's OK . GPS wasn't super user friendly though.

For the money this is a good head unit. Video quality is good. Back up camera is good. Audio is good. GPS is decent. You can put in custom backgrounds if you use the crop photo options. SD card is nice to add your own music and movies to as well as saving photos to. Complaints. It could support a few more video file types like .mkv. Could be a little louder. Doesnt work with steering wheel controls even with an adapter.

From the beginning, it was a clown show. Video cable was too short to reach the receiver from the back up camera, so I had to buy an extension. No DC power cable included with the camera, so had to buy one. Microphone for the phone doesn't work AT ALL. Cannot dim the background light when in GPS mode, so it's useless at night because it's SO bright. GPS worked for a week and now won't acquire a signal. Don't buy this piece of junk.
