Oster BVCB07-R00-FFP Reverse Crush Counterforms Brushed Stainless Steel Blender with 6-Cup Glass Jar, Red

We replace a very old blender that stopped working. We were happy with the old blender, but this one is much better. The reversing feature is a terrific idea and works very well. It works particularly well with iced drinks. The pitcher is a thick glass and everything seems very well made.

The only knock I can have on it is that it's loud. It does everything it's supposed to do. It's pretty strong. I guess that's why it's louder than normal. It usually happens when it's crushing ice or frozen food. Everything else is great. Easy to clean. Great blend. Worth it.

I had an Oster blender since 1972, a shower gift. When it finally died, and it actually still worked when I ordered a new one, I knew I had to get another Oster. This one has a larger container than the old one, is much lighter and is easy to use. I have glaucoma, things have to be straight forward for me and this blender has lights for the buttons making it easier to operate. Very reasonably priced, also.

I looked at a lot of blenders before choosing this one. Most were far more expensive than this one. So glad I chose this blender. It does a great job crushing ice and frozen fruit in making smoothies. Glad to pocketnthe savings.

Purchased this 1000 watt blender to replace my old 600 watt blender that burned out after making frozen smoothies daily. Imagine my surprise when I read the specs on the bottom of this blender and discovered it, too, is 600 watts. When I re-read the specs on Amazon, it says, "1000 watts, 600 blending watts"! What are those extra 400 watts doing?
