It's a fantastic espresso machine with a great pressure gauge. The head sealing O-ring could be fatter so that the portafilter locks off easier (right now, you can twist it all the way to the 4 or 5 o'clock position. Good water reservoir Easy to use buttons ~25 sec shot time from the single cup button Good steam Nice warmer plate Some of the metal sheet surfaces arent well finished and show exposed edges that are sharp - you could cut knuckles twisting in the potafilter, watch out. Given the price point, I can't give it less than 5 stars, even with a few small issues. Note that the 58mm will require you to grind finer than smaller baskets. Dont know about reliability - had it for 2 months, and all is OK for now.

This machine has many cheap details, the appearance is underwhelming, the function is alright and the coffee is pretty good- for the most part. The steam wand is the best part, which makes up for the cheap plastic espresso portafilter…at least it’s 58mm and the pucks are drier than most at this price point. The price was decent for what you get. I’m just using it as a placeholder while I save for something better. UPDATE: it’s been about a week and the portafilter is not tightening into the machine correctly so the shots are not coming out right. Cheap machine. Returning.

Nice looking machine, but there are two problems. The double-shot filter is not able to generate enough pressure for some reason. The single shot is fine. Another problem is that the spoon they included in the package is a misfit for the size of the filter. The flat end of the spoon is simply too small for that gigantic filter. You need to have a separate coffee tamper for that size of filter.

As a heavy coffee afficenado, this espresso machine knocks it out of the park for the price. Very simple and clean machine that uses 58mm portafilters. It is kind of loud and vibrates some when the pump goes but not unbearable. The frother isn't as powerful as some of the higher end machines but works well. Would definitely recommend over the bambino.

Takes a bit to get used to but this makes a great cup of coffee. A single caveat. Buy a real tamper... the supplied measuring spoon/tamper is pretty useless.
