These self aligning bearings will allow installation of the 8 mm shafts without binding even if the work surfaces are not exactly parallel. Some reviews, I read the purchaser was confused because the bearing was not completely square in the housing. That is by design and was not a defect in the bearing. These will be very handy for my project and I can highly recommend them. Great product good price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Suitable for low temperature low rpm applications *by F***R on November 14, 2022* I asked about operating temperature limits. (Below 50 C.) Actual technical support! Yay!Bearing is self-aligning, so installation need not be perfect. This feature also allows access to the tiny (1.5 mm) set screws, which only seem inaccessible. If the bearing arrives seemingly misaligned that's not a flaw and is easily fixed.If a bearing is needed for a hot environment and high rpm, as in supporting a motor shaft, look for all metal bearings having no plastic or rubber seals. I've not come across such for self-aligning bearings, but that might be because that feature is not always desirable.Even though I needed a different bearing design, this product is reasonably priced for intended uses and the seller was responsive.
