**Q: What do the green and red lights mean on the laguna deicer?**
A: You may have a different model mine looks like yours but no green light only red. I will contact company mine is only 2 years old.

**Q: I have a 750 gallon pond; is this deicer big enough or do i need two?**
A: My pond is 1000 gallons in Wisconsin and it keeps it warm enough to keep the koi in all winter

**Q: I have a small Koi Fish Pond (maybe 50 gallons) is this too big for it?**
A: Yes, too big.  We bought this and used last winter in our 2000 gallon koi pond and it worked well, keeping one end of the pond from freezing and an opening about 3 foot in diameter around the heater.  My guess is that your estimation of 50 gallons is low (even for a small pond) but even if 100 gallons, you will probably overheat and kill your fish.  Reference:  50 gallons is only about 6.7 cubic feet (a large indoor aquarium).

**Q: What's the warranty on this pond heater?**
A: The warranty is 1 year.  My first one many years ago lasted only one year.  The 2nd one has been working for almost 11 years!  i loved the light so i can know its on---the deaths when a de-icer fails can be horrifying if you take too long to notice the heater failure and have no back-up device.  The only signs of wear it's  showing is some cloudiness in the plastic covering the light.   Ordered a 2nd one just to have on hand b/c i cannot imagine the current one going much longer--but it might surprise me.  Maybe the key is cleaning it thoroughly at the end of the winter season to get all the pond junk off it.   Or luck, idk.
