A Review of the AMZCHEF Conical Burr Coffee Grinder: A Coffee Enthusiast's Dream
In the realm of coffee aficionados, the pursuit of the perfect grind is akin to a quest for the Holy Grail. Enter the AMZCHEF Conical Burr Coffee Grinder, a device that not only meets but exceeds the expectations of even the most discerning coffee lovers. This grinder stands as a testament to what precision, versatility, and value can achieve when harmoniously combined. First and foremost, let's talk about the grind consistency. The AMZCHEF grinder boasts an impressive 48 adjustable settings, which might seem excessive at first glance but quickly proves its worth. From the ultra-fine grind required for the most demanding espresso machines to the coarse crunch suitable for a French press, this grinder navigates the spectrum with ease. What's particularly noteworthy is its ability to grind finer than what many espresso machines can handle, ensuring that even those with the most high-end equipment are not left wanting. Conversely, it can also produce a grind so coarse that it barely cracks the bean, offering a spectrum of coffee preparation methods that is truly unmatched. The accuracy in grind size is not just a matter of settings but also of execution. The AMZCHEF grinder features an anti-static technology that ensures the grounds do not cling to the sides or the burrs, a common issue with many grinders. This results in a cleaner, more efficient grind where every particle of coffee is ready for your portafilter without the mess or waste. This precision is not just about aesthetics; it directly impacts the extraction process, ensuring that your coffee is as flavorful and aromatic as possible. One of the most compelling aspects of this grinder, especially in today's market, is its price point. While there are grinders that cost significantly more, promising superior quality, the AMZCHEF grinder punches well above its weight class. It's not just about being less expensive; it's about offering superior quality and functionality at a fraction of the cost of its competitors. This grinder challenges the notion that you must spend a fortune to get a high-quality grind. It's a beacon for those who believe in value without compromise. The design of the AMZCHEF grinder is both functional and portable, which is a rare combination. Its stainless steel construction not only looks sleek but also ensures durability. The portability aspect means you're not tethered to your kitchen counter; you can take your perfect grind wherever you go, be it to the office, a friend's house, or on a camping trip. This mobility, combined with its performance, makes it an ideal companion for coffee lovers on the move. The inclusion of a precision timer is another feather in its cap. This feature allows for consistent dosing, which is crucial for maintaining the quality of your brew day after day. Whether you're grinding for a single cup or a pot, the timer ensures you get the right amount every time, enhancing the reproducibility of your coffee's taste profile. Moreover, the ease of use cannot be overstated. The AMZCHEF grinder is intuitive, with straightforward controls that make adjusting settings or starting a grind a breeze. This user-friendly interface is particularly beneficial for those who might be new to the world of coffee grinding but want to step up their game without a steep learning curve. In conclusion, the AMZCHEF Conical Burr Coffee Grinder is not just a tool; it's a revolution in home coffee grinding. Its ability to deliver a precise, versatile grind at an accessible price point, coupled with its anti-static technology and portability, makes it stand out in a crowded market. For anyone serious about their coffee, or even those just starting to explore the depths of coffee culture, this grinder is an investment that pays off in every cup. It's not just about making coffee; it's about crafting an experience, and the AMZCHEF grinder does just that, with elegance and efficiency.

Perfect grind, excellent Customer Service!
I was looking for a grinder that offered slow grinding speeds, best in my opinion for uniform sized grounds, and this was the only one I found. Taking it out of the box I was impressed by it's weight and build quality, it stays put on the counter and can be disassembled to clean. Fresh ground coffee is much better than using the grinder at the store and the smell of the coffee grinding was wonderful. And this one makes perfectly sized grounds. Display is easy to read, and setting it is just as easy. I set it for 6 cups, and measured what it dispensed....exactly correct amount!! Can't say enough good things about this grinder, if you buy it you will not be disappointed. 6 month follow up: motor stopped working, contacted vendor, within that day was contacted! Fastest customer service response I have seen. They requested video and then immediately sent replacement, which arrived quickly. This unit does work! The touch screen however is an issue, but once again they made good and replaced grinder!! The new grinders do not remember last settings, but do grind the coffee superbly. Even though grinder is not performing remembering last setting, this company has the best, fastest customer service I have seen and seems concerned with their customer care!

So far, so good
I purchased this while it was on sale. I previously used the Cuisinart bur grinder and it was very loud and messy. I have always wanted a grinder that shoots directly into your portafilter. This works great! Hardly any mess compared to my previous grinder. There is some trial and error to finding the right grind size. I have a Breville bambino espresso machine. When grinding my beans at the recommended notch for espresso, it ground it too finely that I couldn't even get water to pass through and it backfired while trying to brew. The sweet spot for my machine and beans is 14-16 for grind size. I still weigh my beans out for each shot so I am not 100% sure for the time option but it's about 16 seconds for a double shot. Overall, a really, really nice and quiet grinder that makes minimal messes! I am very happy with is. Just be patient when trying to figure out the right grind size.

Exactly what I was looking for
I got a Sowtech grinder that was dead on arrival and sent it back. After scouring through all the coffee grinder reviews I chose this one. Hamedโs review was of particular interest to me because he has the same DeLonghi Dedica espresso machine that I have. First of all the design and appearance of this machine are fantastic and match the stainless steel design of my DeLonghi so they look great side by side. James was spot on with dialing in the grind time to 12 seconds. That amount of time produces 10 grams of coffee. My DeLonghi is now almost 5 years old and has faithfully pulled 2 double shots just about every day so the pump has lost some pressure and struggles with extremely fine grounds. I can dial this grinder down to 3 before it chokes the DeLonghi which is better than the 6 Hamed reported. I love the exact dosage capabilities of this machine and the conical burrs grind evenly and consistently with very minimal noise. I also love the way the machine shoots the grinds out of the spout. The DeLonghi has a unique portafilter so I didnโt expect it to fit in the optional holder this machine comes with and it didnโt but I like the look and function of the stainless steel cup better anyway. The cup has a solid feel and a nice rubber ring on the bottom that prevents it from moving or rattling during operation and the grinds do not stick to the cup due to the anti static features of the machine. Some reviews reported the fickleness of the touch control pad but I have not experienced any issues during the first week of operation. I also like how the machine recalls the programming from the last use. Now that I have the grind settings adjusted, I can just push the grind button each time I use it and I get the exact dose every time. Super easy and a great looking machine!

Grinder is not constant, the degree of grinding often changes
I am not a coffee expert and have only recently started making my own freshly brewed espresso at home, but what I can say as a layman is that this grinder is not constant and the degree of grinding often changes. However, therefore the amount of ground coffee is also constantly changing. I have to re-evaluate every time before I grind my coffee. I bought a machine in the higher price segment and unfortunately saved on the grinder. Visually, the machine looks very appealing. It is a little noisy, which doesn't bother me as much as many others complain, and the touch display doesn't always work properly, but I could live with that I definitely wouldn't recommend this machine or buy it again.

Great for fine grinding and espresso
The ground size that I get out of this grinder is perfect for espresso and I get a lot of crema. Grades 0-8 is for fine grinding, and my Delonghi Delica machine chockes with <6, meaning the coffee gets super fine. I get perfect 2-shot cups with this machine with grades 6-8 and 12 seconds of grinding. The downside is that my machine's portafilter doesn't fit this grinder's holder. However, that's not a big deal as I grind into its nice steel cup. I used it for few days and it was perfect and I hope it is well durable. If not, I will update my review. Update after ~ a month: I cut one star because the touch screen is not easy to work with. Sometimes it is too sensitive and sometimes it is not responsive enough. But the main machine still works awesome.

Nice grinder
I really like this grinder! Most importantly, it works with a portafilter (I have a funnel with the portafilter so Iโve never tried grinding into the portafilter without the funnel. Has 24 grind settings for the perfect espresso, drip, pour-over, or French press consistency. Hold about a1/2 pound.

I Totally Got My Money's Worth!
Absolutely love this grinder!!! As for messiness, there is really none. Occasionally if I put too many beans in the canister, some remaining grounds will fall out but they clean up easily. I portion out the beans every time so ensure freshness, but if that's not something that bothers you then you can certainly fill the entire canister. It's very consistent with the amount of grounds and has multiple different settings as far as fineness, timing, and single/double serve. The holder is too small for my portafilter so I just have to hold it beneath the spout, but this doesn't bother me at all. I'd rate the noise like a 6/10, with 10 being the loudest. It's a grinder, so you have to expect some level of noise. I read some reviews that talked about static developing in the canister and the quality degrading. I've had this grinder for over six months and have not had this experience at all. It's extremely durable, looks nice in the kitchen, and it definitely gets the job done for my daily cup of coffee. I couldn't be happier with it!
