When I cut the tips of 4 fingers and had to endure the ordeal of their slow healing, I swore I’d never own another. Until I saw a cooking video using a slicer similar to this one. It is sharp, producing quick and easy slices from thin to thick easily, and the adjustable blade (from 1 to 8) is simple. I will tell you there is a bit of a learning curve with the julienne blades, but I’ll learn how they work eventually. Right now I’ve made scalloped potatoes and sliced cucumbers for pickling and it couldn’t be easier. It has 4 parts, the chute, the pusher, the mandolin blade, and the container to catch whoever you’re slicing. The parts disassemble for easy storage, taking up little space in my cabinet. I like how it can be thrown into the dishwasher or rinsed in the sink and allowed to dry. But above all that, it keeps the fingers clear of the slicing blades. I highly recommend this product to anyone. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Safe machine *by G***N on June 8, 2025* Like the idea of the safe slice but it’s pretty cumbersome to use. Almost too much flexibility in setting. I wanted cut and go, not a reference manual. But I tried it on potatoes and it worked pretty well for French fries. Sharp enough, but small pieces. When I tried carrots, instead of the coin shaped carrot cuts I thought I would get, they were vertical because of the way it feeds. Not a tragedy, but unexpected. To summarize, it does what it is supposed to do and safely.
