How can you make a product that heats up this quickly and without making a handle holder to fit it?

I bought this as a "tadka"/ tempering pan and it works beautifully. Just the right size and the intense heat of cast iron does wonders for creating a crackling tadka. Always good to work to medium high heat when working with these pans. The real validation came from my mother when she was visiting us. Usually critical of my life choices, she was totally sold on this one at first attempt ;) She told me that this kind of pan is very best for preparing tempering due to its weight and composition (iron). . Also saw some people posting about chocolate chip cookies using this and I look forward to trying it. Highly recommend ! The handle does heat up quickly, you will need to use a kitchen towel or buy a Lodge Silicone grip which is a "one size fits all lodge skillets".

The skillet was too small to make even an omlette, or toast. The base of the pan is much smaller than 5". The marketing pictures are misleading. That said, the product seems original, the packaging was perfect, and the delivery and pickup were on time. No complaints about the quality. Had to think twice before returning it. I would strongly advise the seller to update the pictures to give us a better idea of the dimensions.

Gusseisenpfannen sind ja wirklich tolle Geräte, und Lodge bietet die zu einem Preis an, der echt super günstig ist- Wahnsinn. Und die Qualität stimmt sowas von, viel besser als einige europäische Pfannen. Mann muss sie aber schon pflegen wie eine Gusseisen, d.h. nicht abspülen sondern mit auskratzen und mit Öl, ggf etwas Salz, und Küchenpapier ausreiben, und mit Ölfilm lagern. Ist mir aber sogar lieber, das ist irgendwie netter als Pfannen abzuspülen. Man hat keine Teflonreste im Essen sondern sogar gesunde Eisenpartikel. Geb ich nie wieder her- muss ich ja auch nicht, denn sie soll ja auch ein Leben Lang halten. Ich hab mir die Lodge Pfannenkratzer dazubestellt, das ist schon empfehlenswert.

La utilizzo soltanto su bbq a carbone per fare piccole preparazioni, ok è piccola ma robusta e per il mio utilizzo è perfetta, va che è una meraviglia. Alto il prezzo? La qualità si paga, non adatta per chi vuole risparmiare. Lodge una garanzia

I have returned this item over two weeks ago with the same packaging. The post office was not able to give me a tracking number since it was not 48 hours.

Bought as a present for my son in law. He and my daughter love it. Robust, very practical so heavy to lift but well made.. I was given a similar used set of 3 pans over 35 years ago and we still use them almost every day. And no Teflon.

Use this for almost everything, great pan!
