Heavy Duty Quality with perks
This is a nice quality pan. Size is great for so many things. Especially if you like to freeze leftovers. Like Sauces, or meats, meal preps, even chili in this pan. The sides are straight up so everything is cooking evenly. Nice clear heavy duty lid allows you to monitor the inside contents. Non stick and cleans with ease. Youll want to take good care of this pan bc its easy to. I highly recommend this pan. Its my second one like it! Excellent pan. Fantastic BF value. Arrived w/o issue! My family is thankful.

Large, deep and easy to clean
Large, deep pan that is the most used pot in our house. Perfect for loading with stir fry veggies, fried chicken, leftover pasta, burgers and onions and it cleans with a paper towel. This pan lasts about 5 years here and then time for a new one.

Outstanding Saute Pan for Large Volumes of Food
This was a replacement for a Calphalon 5 qt saute pan that was 20 years old that still worked but didn't heat evenly anymore. Heats easily and evenly. Very easy to saute sauces, rice and/or brown meat. Easy to transfer to oven to finish. Cleans quickly with soapy dishwater in the sink; I do not put my pans in dishwasher. I use this for large meal cooking

Decent, not super heavy-duty
This pan is adequate. Has good non-stick. It's not as thick/heavy as I was expecting. Lid is slightly loose.

Super Pan! Super size, super features
I was gifted an entire set of Calphalon years ago. I really liked them but that was before nonstick technology was in use, and before I developed arthritis in my hands. Unfortunately, the entire set was lost by the Movers period for replacements. I bought inexpensive nonstick pans, which, even though I use them as carefully as I can have still developed scratches in the cooking surfaces and smell unpleasant when the heat is a little high. I like this sauté pan, but I did not realize it would be so big. it is almost too heavy for me, but not quite. I wish it was about 3” less wide. I also do not like the design of the handle compared to my former set. This pan has a hollow handle, which means that water can get up inside there when washing it. My former set had solid handles, which I prefer. I look forward to cooking with this one. I especially like that it can go from stove top to oven, one of my favorite ways of cooking complex dishes.

Thin and warped
Was expecting thick, high quality pans like the rest of my calphalon set, but this pan is super thin and warped upon first use. Super disappointing. Still gave it 3 stars because it’s non stick and I mean I guess it works, but I would not recommend this pan to anyone and wish I had gotten a different one.

Excellent pan for stove top cooking
I adore this pan. It is large and non-stick without material that flakes off. My old pan needed replacement and I already had a 10" omelet pan like this pan and I loved that. This pan isn't heavy even when it is full of chicken. I also bought the 8" omelet pan to replace yet another pan that I had that was shedding the non-stick lining. Great products.

Solid pan. With lid it's fairly hefty but the looped handle opposite the regular handle makes it easy to lift. Bottom is very flat for use on a smooth electric cooktop. Holds heat well and heats evenly. Good seal from the hefty glass lid (glass lid is great) and cleans up easily.

When I first purchased this pan I was very happy with it! It cooks food evenly, is lightweight and cleans very easily. About 7 months into using it I noticed the pan starting to warp. I am still using the pan but it doesn’t sit flat on the stove, causing oil to pool and food to cook unevenly. I expect the pan to continue warping to a point where I’ll have the replace it in less than a year after purchasing it. Therefore, I don’t recommend buying this pan. Spend a bit more and get something better.

This sauté pan bottom warped. I bought the Calphalon Hard Anodized 5 quart sauté pan, after discovering it at a vacation home I had stayed in for a month. The house owner told me she stocked the Calphalon Hard Anodized cookware. I so much loved using this particular 5 quart sauté pan there, that I immediately ordered the identical one upon returning home in February 2025. Upon receiving the pan in March, I initially loved it and it performed extremely well. I was using it on average once per week since March. I was always attentive to use care when cooking with it, cleaning it, and storing it - because I liked this pan so much. I have never used it on a stove heat setting past medium. I washed it in dishwasher (as it says it is dishwasher safe). A month or two ago I noticed it was now no longer sitting flat on my flat top stove (pan slightly “rocking”), but when looking at the bottom of pan I could see no obvious warping. Since then, each time I use it, the pan bottom rocks even more, to the point that olive oil will now not sit evenly in the pan and the oil all drains to one side. Because the pan will no longer sit flat on the stove, it is very tippy so does not feel stable - in that when stirring or turning over food in the pan, the pan will not stay in place on the flat top burner, and moves all over stove (a potential hazard). The pan, when placed on my granite counter top, also no longer sits flat and does the same rocking motion. So the issue is the pan, not the stove top. The one I had used in the vacation rental home, had been in that house for at least two years, and performed perfectly without having this issue. Therefore, I had expected mine to do the same. I am very disappointed because this pan is not cheap ($135) and because it is long past the one month return window with Amazon, I am left with no option to be able to exchange it. So sadly, I can not recommend this pan.
