It didn't seem to sit very securely and I wondered if/how long it would work.I've now been using it for several months and it works just fine.My first sealer and bags came with a cutter. When I reordered bags, I did not get ones with a cutter. Although you can certainly use a scissors to cut your bags from the roll, it's easier and more convenient to have a cutter. It is listed as 8 inches wide when in fact its 7 7/8. It makes a big difference when packaging items using containers that fit conveniently in a 8 inch bag but now must be handled to push them in this bag. Yes for economy, the larger rolls make more sense. But if the cutter is difficult to operate and the bag is even 1/4 inch smaller, it isn't a good buy.
