They been through mud, dirt, sand, puddles pretty long hikes and never noticed i even had them on. Extremely comfortable, waterproof just as advertised and looks great. had them for about 2 years not and no problems with durability. Breathability is a 3.5/5 in my opinion but that comes with any waterproof boot, if you want breathability go with trailrunners not boots.
