Sony 55-Inch Class BRAVIA 8 OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV (2024) K55XR80

Wanted a Smart main room TV for my Open concept room while I was also creating a smart home using Home Assistant. Easy setup just add legs which have 2 different positions to fit various sized TV Stands. Home Assistant saw the TV soon as I turned it on and connected and synced instantly. Solid TV with great picture quality, the Sound quality was OK but for size of open space I added a soundbar as the sound system wasn't up to handling such a space. Still no regrets.

AVOID!! I was hesitant to buy a refurbished TV with an $1,800 price tag, but I was convinced by the positive reviews and figured it’s Amazon. It should be quality. The seller’s description of the condition of the TV was “Excellent”. I ordered the TV on March 3, 2026. The TV was delivered on March 11, 2026. Upon unboxing the TV, powering it on, and going through the Sony setup, there was no sound from the TV. I called Sony customer support. They walked me through all trouble shooting options and determined the TVs internal speakers are defective. A soundbar also does not work with the TV. The TV emits no sound. I currently have an $1,800 paperweight. Hoping the seller is going to resolve this issue and replace the TV with the same model, and one without defects or damages. Or refund my money. Until the issue is resolved I can’t rate the experience any higher, and would give it a zero if that was an option. Just spend the extra money and buy a new TV. Lesson learned!

Beautiful tv, works flawlessly, and the professional color/framerate profiles make for an ideal cinematic experience. You’re always taking a risk ordering refurbished, but I just wanted to say I have absolutely zero regrets on this one. It’s a screaming deal and you should jump on it if you find them in stock.

No issues with the TV. It was refurbished and in "excellent" condition, but you couldn't tell. It appeared brand new in the box. The picture quality is stunning. I'm so glad I paid extra to get an OLED. Minus one star for the shipping experience. Amazon/Woot didn't give CEVA Logistics my phone number, so it sat in a local warehouse for a week without any emails or updates. 3 weeks for shipping was a lot, but I can't complain too much for what was essentially 45% off the new price.

I'm obsessed with this television. The picture and color quality is amazing. It's like I'm looking through a glass window at images. The images are so clear and I can see every detail. I usually always purchase Samsung everytime. My previous Samsung only lasted for five years and one side the sceen went dark.I was so disappointed when this happened. I am so glad I decided to try a Sony television. This tv definitely impressed me. I would recommend this television to anyone, you will not be disappointed. You will definitely need to setup the settings to your liking.

The Sony BRAVIA 8 delivers a beautiful picture and excellent overall performance when it’s working. Unfortunately, my refurbished unit developed an intermittent boot-loop/startup issue that ultimately required a return. Beach Camera was courteous in their communications, but repeatedly encouraged me to use the warranty process rather than the Amazon return option. In the end, Amazon stepped in and honored the return. I would purchase this TV again—but only as a new unit, not refurbished.

Amazing tv.

I got this tv June 28 2025, a couple of days ago the sound went off. I contacted Sony to have my tv replaced and they told me that this tv was no longer under any warranty. Also they told me that the serial number didn’t match the files. I took a picture of the back of the tv and the serial number was blacked out. I want a refund but I haven’t been able to contact Amazon’s customer service.

Tv has a fantastic picture. I find it a tad bit glossy and do get some reflections. Seller gets a A+ for quick accurate answers.
