Regardless of other bad reviews, I myself could not complain about this product in the slightest. I am a 1st & 2nd fix carpenter and have used this product for both areas of carpentry, although I would say it is superior in the 1st fix areas due to the width of the leads. The weight of the pencil is ergonomically pleasing, making it suitable for tough rigid environments like on site. I have dropped it from scaffold multiple times and it has not broken unlike other reviews have suggested. Ofcourse it has scratched, it's an aluminium pencil, but it is as solid as when bought. The sharpener on it is perfect, similar to a PicaPencil quality. Lead storage box is spot on, bit big to keep in the tool pouch but these leads last a long time so no need to do that. It is a bit pricey....but quality never comes cheap. Buy it and make all the lads on site jealous. 10/10

This pencil is very poor quality. It only lasted 1 working day and then the clamping mechanism stopped holding the lead. Disappointed! Definitely not worth the money!

Bought as I needed more lead for my non Pro - this is so much better quality. Just to note this is a different size to the non pro as it's slightly bigger so you cant use the non pro grey holder with the pro - not really an issue.

Perfect marking pencil. Aluminium body gives it a good weight. Feel proper professional using it. The red leads are perfect for marking all sorts of materials too. The holster is also very strong and remains in you pocket even when removing the marker. Honestly cannot beat Tracer products.

Great pencils only small issue is it falls out of the holder easily if not upright could do with a slight friction or clip on the holder.

I'm a cabinet maker / carpenter, I've searched high and low for the best pencil out there, then this fell into my emails to try, so I did, so, this is by far the best pencil set I've ever had, not because of its pricing but it's build quality. When I buy something I look at the reviews and the look/quality of the item and not the price, you want cheap then buy chinese,

Like many others I was made up when this pencil came out and was happy to buy this even at a steep £25. The upgrade from plastic to metal was a real treat. However after only a few days the lead retention gave in and was there after no use. I did however on the 2nd occasion buy another 2 at the same time thinking It was maybe a small mishap with the first purchase. However I was deeply mistaken as like the first one the next two done the exact same. 😡. I contacted ox and did however get a reply they asked for proof of the failure which I did send a video to them. They were quick to ask for a video of proof of failure although 4 months later I’m still waiting on some sort of refund. Don’t waste your money on these stick with the plastic or further more use an alternate brand. Not fit for purpose

This deep hole construction pencil is very well designed and ideal for site work. The long, slim tip makes it easy to mark through deep or awkward fixing points, and the aluminium body feels robust and built to last. The included replacement leads are a nice bonus and the pencil performs reliably in daily use. It’s comfortable to hold and gives precise markings on a variety of surfaces. Overall, an excellent quality construction pencil that’s well suited to professional use.

I just bought the TRACER Pro (AMK1 PRO) and it’s already giving me problems. The click top/end cap jams up and will not release after I press it. I’m working on a construction site in Riyadh where dust is heavy, and the dust/grit gets into the mechanism fast. Now I have to pry the cap off with all my strength just to use it, and the pencil becomes basically unusable. On top of that, the lead/clamp behavior is inconsistent unless the click top is barely seated, which is not how a “Pro” tool should work. Maybe it works fine in a clean office, but on a real jobsite this design is not sealed or durable enough. For the price, I expected something reliable. Returning it and going back to a cheaper pencil that actually works.
