If you are not flexible then you may need help putting on the back piece. The only way I've found is to lengthen the straps beyond how tight you normally wear then (otherwise it will be too tight) put on your bra first, put the piece on one strap and push it back over your shoulder, then feel your way to putting the other strap in. I pushed it down as far as I could but it's still too high for a shirt with a lower back. However, once it's on, pull your straps up and off your shoulders to the sides in either direction to force it down.

The rubber actually broke me out. it does keep the bra from digging in my shoulder, but due to allergic reaction I cant use them anymore.

I love these, especially the bra strap cushion. But I use the bra strap cushion for a different purpose. When I went on vacation I use the cushion on my neck underneath the swimsuit top string. It worked amazing! No pain under my neck despite wearing a bikini top for the better part of a week!
