I'm very happy with this 40 pound adjustable cement dumbbell set. It was easy to assemble, and the adjustable weights make it perfect for a variety of exercises and fitness levels. The plates feel sturdy, are easy to clean, and don't scratch my floors like metal weights can.This set is an excellent value for anyone building a home gym. It doesn't take up much space, and the handles provide a comfortable grip during workouts. If you're looking for an affordable, versatile, and reliable dumbbell set, I definitely recommend this one!

I purchased two sets on sale. My expectations were pretty low for the price. I was pleasantly surprised how well they were packaged. All the cardboard was double walled, and came with a box within a box. The weights are pretty accurate when placed on the scale. The bar weighs about one pound, so one box of weights means you can have two dumbbells that weigh either 6 lbs or 16 lbs each, or one dumbbell that weighs 6, 11, 16, or 21 lbs. Two boxes mean you have two dumbbells that can weigh 6, 11, 16, or 21 lbs each. Theoretically it is possible to go up to 26 and 31 lbs, each, but I saw a review by a customer who put 30 lbs on each bar and the bars bent and broke. At 26 lbs, the clips barely fit. The clips are a tight fit, which is great for keeping the weights on the bar, but do require strength to pinch them open all the way. For the price, and for the home, they are a great deal.

This is the second set of these I have purchased, mostly because it’s a little annoying to keep switching the plates if two people are using them and use different weight. It is good value for the price. They have held up remarkably well. You won’t really find better elsewhere.

I like how cheap it is for the weights the only thing is to be careful putting the weights down or the bar can bend.

What a great combo, the weights and the 2 large workout sheets to help you with a multitude of exercises. For someone like me who really never worked, a game changer. I would highly recommend.

these are very nice, i hit youtube for some dumbell routines and so far these are fabulous, 40 pounds is perfect, im a 54 year old dude and i can get off 25 pumps before my arms fatigue - im a bit worried about the clip as opposed to a screw-on type lug nut bar, but you get what you pay for - these will remain outside on the patio, under shade and on an outdoor carpet, we'll see how long these hold up before the plastic cracks, i have JB Weld old hand should that ever happen - i will also need to apply some type of grip-tape to the bars, a steal on prime day for under $20....

These were exactly what we needed. Wanted adjustable weights for the house, but didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. These were the right price, and do the job. easy to adjust the weights and durable when dropped. easy to grip. They aren't the top of the line and are a bit bulky but coming in at a fraction of what other dumbbells cost, its a fair tradeoff.

UPDATE- After training with this set, I'm upgrading its rating to 5 Stars. It does have a thin/narrow grip, but this set works, it's quiet & the quality of the plates is excellent. If you're working unilaterally (one side at a time), you can go from 5lbs through 30lbs at 5lb increments! I'm seriously thinking of getting another set. The clamps are tight & secure if you push them all the way on and may help to improve your finger/grip strength a little. You can't beat the value on this set, just don't toss or drop them, as it might break the cement inside the plates and or split them. Also, if you toss or drop them, just understand that the handles are hollow and you risk deforming or breaking them. Dropping weights is bad form anyway, LOLOriginal Revue-There is no grip on the handles, just smooth, black powder coat. The width of the grips, in the area where your hand goes is too narrow for me & don't have huge hands. The retainers are poor quality and the weight's don't fit snugly on the handles....they're very sloppy. Also, these are the largest 20lb Dumbbells you'll ever see in your life, maybe that's good, if it makes you feel like you're really lifting some weight. The weights are nice, quality-wise. I'm obviously not in love with this set, but it was very inexpensive, so there you go.

Tight grip on lock for plates. Kinda tough to get on, but no slippage when on

Works fine for me. But when you put all the weights it become a little uncomfortable when you do the curl..
