These are worth the money. No lie here! Got these for my dad for Father’s Day and he uses them for his deer cameras and hasn’t stopped speaking about how much they work great. How much he loves them. The quality is good. Worth the price. Actually charges like it says.

Solar charger doesn't power my camera. Solar panel is fully charged. But when plugged in to the camera, the camera does not 'connect'. I have tried it with a rechargeable battery pack in the camera, with 16 AA batteries in the camera, and with an empty battery pack in the camera. Same result - doesn't work. My game camera is at my deer lease, 2 hours away. So, it took time to get it installed and then more time to see it wasn't working. Two separate trips trying the various battery pack configurations took time to discover the panel doesn't work. Now it appears I am past my 'return window'. So, money down the drain apparently.

I bought this for my 11yr old son, who was eating through my lithium batteries like crazy. One of the spots is limited sun but, a lot of activity. Not sure if him checking the app uses battery for the camera (it’s a cell one) but, he checks its NON STOP! We’ve had a lot of rain the last few weeks and his battery still shows 93%. I’m just a mom, my kid knows a lot more than I do about this kind of stuff but, it certainly has saved me money on the batteries and it was cheaper than the battery pack that I’ve gotten for his other cameras.

Battery charge on the 3.4w does not last during the winter in the mountains of Oregon. I put in direct line of the sun. However…functionally, they only lasted 9-12 days. Even when slightly overcast and still bright…. Did not charge. The entire reason I got these was to not have to drive out in the mountains and deep snow and snowshoe into where I had these. I missed out on who knows how many animals. That being said…. I do however like these for late spring to early fall use when we get lots of direct sun. You can also have these laying at camp and then plug into them and charge your phone. (If sunny) As for value for the money??? I would spend just a bit more money and get the 10w.

This saddens me because I liked how this was working. It's designed for outside yet it stopped powering and charging the other day just barely 2 months after purchasing. I need reliability.
