How durable are the hinges on these cases? I go between regular glassed and prescription sunglasses numerous times a day and the hinges always wearout

if we noticed, all the answers that said no problem with the hinges are less than 2-3 years of usage. These hinges will break, and their usual life span is just about 2-3 years under normal daily usage. In some occasions they will break sooner. It is just the way they are. I went through 5-6 of this type of eyeglass cases in the last couple of decades, and found that there is nothing out there that is particularly outstanding in regards to the hinges. I am coming to this listing, because........., my hinges broke again and I need a new one : (

Do my best. I can't see what the case is made out of because it is covered in fabric, but it is strong and hard. The inside and the outside of the case look like they are constructed separately, then glued together. Even though there are two layers, it is not thick. The outside is covered in a soft, brushed fabric and the inside is a felt-like fabric. The case is held together with a piano hinge.

Nice and durable oversized case that closes tightly.

This is a durable, heavy duty glasses case. The extra large size will accommodate larger framed glasses. Bought one for my special-needs cousin who has trouble with smaller flimsy ones. Also bought one to use as a carrying case for a three-piece set of secret code markers for my grandson. The case is not only wide, but it is also deep enough inside that things won’t get mashed. Both cases snap closed easily and tightly with no chance of coming open accidentally. I would definitely recommend these cases as they are strong and durable and should last for quite some time.
