Had to re watch your video which wasn't in detail piece by piece of installation. But I managed to make it work. I am hoping for the down side for God forbid this goes out this business is able to be helpful. But it is really quite you can't hear it like the top filter. The hoses you will have to somehow install it right. Because they will pinch in and it's a pain to undo. The pressure for the lowest GPH isn't bad not too fast or slow. I haven't seen leaks so far which I am please. Will re update and next couple months. One has to buy their own filtering media. Does come with a standard filter and media balls. But mine only has room for 1 stage media. 3months still running, the UV is quite efficient when dealing with algae Filtering still good no issues, no leaks. The filter provided does seem to filter the junk out.

I just set up a new tank and got this filter. It's been almost a week since setting up and over all it's not bad. The instructions were a pain but i figured it out. It comes with a little media inside even though it says it doesn't. But there's room for more of your choosing.

This is the date that I set it up, 8/31/24. The one thing I did not like about it is that the intake broke as I assembled it. I didn't like the output, so I had to improvise on the canister tubing fittings. This is really for smaller tanks. I am using it for a 15-gallon tank, and I had to use PVC for the input and output. I like the flow that's just right, not rushing or lacking off the follow. I had to change some of the media. I had to use a thicker filter pad, which helps a lot with the canister because I do not always rely on any media that the canister has. It's best to change a couple of things to improve the water quality, and the filter canister. If it starts leaking, I'm going to dislike it very fast. I have seen the reviews. Since it's a small filter canister, you may have to change the input and the output to improve the water flow. This may help reduce pressure on the canister. You can see the water is still clean.

This is total garbage. There is no way to connect the tubing to the actual aquarium. So they just hang and are sideways and extremely unstable. The intake comes apart in two pieces right at the center with no secure connection so again an extreme worry about them pulling apart and flooding my home. Just total absolute garbage. And I am a user of many SunSun filters and have had zero issues with any of them so I am not inexperienced. In fact the opposite. The tubing is so cheap I have to cut it as the creases were so pronounced water would not flow through them. Total waste of money

Although the instructions aren't extremely helpful, they offered enough of an idea for me to figure it out in about 30 minutes. I have basic understanding of how pumps work, so that helped. Overall, I really like the performance of this machine. It's perfect for my 40 gallon breeder, that's moderately stocked with about 20 smaller fish, including gouramis and rams. The price is awesome. Definitely recommend. The video clip Sunshine shows for start-up is a must watch, as I wasn't doing it correctly until I took a minute to watch it.

So far so good. just tested the whole canister filter and it went well, no leak, uv light no damage working fine, flow its good and the total build it ok no complains. The only regret is i did not buy the 55 galon canister. Will update agaain. If all is good will buy again.

I got this for my flex 15 as the stock filter setup didn't do a good job at cleaning the water, it sucks too sadly, Installed this and had issues getting it started, filled up the can with water like all my others and used the pump it took hours to get going and when it did get going there was so much air stuck in the the thing it had no flow at all, shook the can to try and get the air out but even after 24 hours it still barely dribbles water out, after that I took it apart and checked for any sign of a clog and decided to try it with an empty can, it ran okay but still was just gulping air, when I finally decided to leave it alone with the filter media in it, I came back a few hours later and my 3 loaches were gone, and so I panic opened the can and they were inside it, turns out the intake pipe has no freaking screen or any thing to stop fish from swimming right up it, I now have 3 dead fish due to this and that breaks my heart, I'll be returning this ASAP and getting a name brand one that is designed by some one who has a brain,

Assembly took a minute with lack of instructions but once it's up and running it works excellent. Easy to clean and a great value for the money. My tank went from green to crystal clear in a half a day.
