Studio Quality Tones For Not Much Money!
A surpisingly good mini multi-effects that integrates well on a pedalboard or fits in your pocket. Pros: 1 - Sound : honestly quite good for the price. Without even dwelving into other captures, the onboard selection covers your Fender Cleans, Marshall crunch and Soldano leads. Really easy to tweak sounds without needing to touch the app. Processor latency is definitely lower than other cheaper offerings out there as it feels quite responsive. 2 - Utility and Design : some really well thought out features in regards to using it as A/B, On/Off or even A/B/C in the preset select mode. Quite cool for a micro pedal that you can access as much as this! 3 - Updates : great to see effects like chorus and delay can be loaded in via nee updates. Nice! Cons: 1 - Navigation : it is finicky to use at first as I highly recommend you read the manual! Different button presses and durations will access different things so very easy to f*** things up! 2 - Software Dependant: this unit really shines when connecting it to a PC and using the ToneX software librarian to edit and download tones. You simply cant access every parameter from the pedal itself. 3 - Not Beginner Friendly : from the UI to understanding the software, this really is a weird choice for someone new to amp modelling despite how great and cheap it is. With no phone app to boot (and software license managers needed to download), id not recommended it to those afraid to dive in, read the manual and tweak! Honestly, a really impressive bit of kit that offers genuine competition to Line 6 and Kemper for great guitar tones at a fraction of the price!

The best you can get for the price
Exceptional quality amps and effects in a small form making it ideal for a pedal board. Power consumption is relatively small. I much prefer captures to modelling as they sound far more realistic. Can also add IRs for acoustic guitars making it ideal for a dual purpose pedal board.

Incredible you must get one.
I wanted a Hiwatt for my DSOM pedalboard so I got this. After 2 hours trying to get Tonex on my mac to connect to the pedal and failed (it doesn't), tried using Tonex editor and that worked. The instructions are useless. The pedal is amazing and the software incredibly versatile. Some of the presets sound incredible, the Black Angus is amazing. Each preset can have different amp models or stomp pedals and each can be tweaked in the app. The pedal itself has two presets in ab mode, or a single one in stomp mode. The flashing lights and modes are difficult to grasp at first but all in all the pedal is a MUST. Get one, you won't be disappointed.

Superb!!
*edit* - finally IK released the live editor for this (march 2025) - and it's superb - functions as it always should have, live editing patches easily from your PC - no faffing about! Pedal sounds great - nice picking response and some really really great Tones that are almost record ready. Easy to edit on the pedal, tho you can't deep dive into all the parameters. That's the software's job, and it's awful, very very counter-intuitive. You currently have to drag a preset from the tone-x device in librarian into the all-presets list, then switch to home mode, and then turn off direct monitoring on the device, only then can you edit the preset, then drag it back. Took ages to figure that out - a really horrible UX. e.g. If you turn off direct monitoring, then shut the software down - then pedal won't process as normal e.t.c.. Lot's of really clunky issues and situations that can catch you out. Can't believe IK haven't sorted that software out - with fluid and intuitive software this thing could rules the world!

Great
Great for amp sim into amp return. Used with Katana 100 head. Great options. Setup simple once you navigate the pedal controls and app. Dumble and Fender 57 amp sound awesome. Getting 2nd for stomp model options

excellent unit with great sounds
Get your fave amp tones in a unit smaller than a pack of cards. Software allows you to capture the tone of other amps. You can switch between up to 3 different presets (search for this tip online) Plenty of demos online. Great practice/rehearsal/tuition tool when you want to go DI straight into a mixer or FRFR system. If you like to access more the a couple of presets you might want to consider the bigger version. Wasnt a fan of the internal presets but you have access to thousands using the online toneNet (included) Personally, i created/profiled/captured my own amp sounds and they have been faithfully reproduced.

Insane tech for the money
I can't understand a lot of the negative reviews. I do already use Tonex, so maybe thats why I found the setup easy. you download the driver from the IK Product Manager, you plug the pedal into a USB C port, then open up your Tonex software (or download it if its your first time) Its probably best to use your usual guitar/audio interface to demo new profiles rather than use the tonex as the audio interface. Then you just drag and drop. When done, take the pedal out, plug it into your speakers/hifi, PA, effect return or whetever, just make sure to turn of the speaker IR's if you are using a guitar cab. If ou like the profiles in tonex, then they are exactly when you are putting on the pedal. Simple. now, you can stick this little beauty on the end of your pedal board and use it as your amp - for example, and all my dirt pedals (OCD, Riot, etc) work great into a edge of breakup clean amp profile. Yes the knobs are a bit fiddly, but not impossible. The fact you can also use it for stomp box models, means I can also try out new pedals, Klon anyone? In front of my actual valve amps. Remember this thing is £150 and can basically do what a kemper does without all the bells and whistles. I like the Tonex eco system, and I'm fairly tech savvy. So I'm probably the perfect customer. Oh, FWIW check out third party captures like amalgam, or browse the thousands on Tone.net - its really quite remarkable.

Nope.
Total and utter carry on trying to get the software downloaded then messing about with footery wee knobs. This could be a game changer but it’s definitely not for me.
