Tallgeese - Heavy Arm's Speedy Cousin
Comparing this to the MG Heavy Arms, I have to say, this one wins! Now, I do love both suits, but this one gives a bit more than the Heavy Arms. Getting right into it, this suit comes with the Dober Gun, 2 beam sabers (hooked in the shield), and a shield. It also comes with a variety of decals (like over 60) to slap on nearly all over the kit! It comes with a visor sticker that goes inside the head and some red dot stickers that go on the chest and waist. Also, it has some yellow decals that go on the wings yet all the other parts like around the shield for instance are already colored in yellow. And if you look around the suit, it has a bunch of thrusters which are on the back of the waist, in front of the waist, and on the sides. Even more, it has a backpack with 2 turbines/jets to add an even more awesome look to it! The only real bad things with this kit is those yellow stickers for the wings (they popped off a couple times), the visor (it is a clear part with the sticker inside the head), and the set is very heavy so you can't pose it without an MG stand (you can but mine fell over many times with the slightest bump to it). One more thing, the ankles have a part that tends to fall off pretty easily, but it just needs to be snapped back in which isn't a big deal but can be annoying if you accidentally mess with it. The Tallgeese altogether though is a very amazing suit. It has an excellent inner frame and if you invest in a stand, you can extend the thrusters out and pull off some real sweet poses. Plus the gimmicks are endless with all the thrusters as stated are able to pop out, you can hook the shield to and the gun to the shoulder mounts to pull off some even cooler poses, and there is a spring you put in the dober gun that allows it to extend in and extend out the canon which is pretty sweet! So, if your looking for a difficult build that pays off if you put some hours into it, this is truly the kit for you!

Look very good without painting, fairly easy to assemble!
This model kit was my first foray into Gunpla. I was a little intimidated by ratings like "Master-Grade" and whatnot, but those names really are just marketing to make the model seem more valuable. I can safely say as a beginner that I was able to build this model casually over the course of a couple of weeks without much trouble, and it looks great! You WILL need, at the minimum, the following to build this kit comfortably: - Nice sharp model nippers/flush-snips (Some of the pieces are quite small and fragile, so don't skimp on this) - A hobby knife - Sanding/buffing/polishing apparatuses (tri-grit sanding sticks are what I used) I also used the following to really give the finished product a "professional" feel: - Gundam pour-type ink pens for panel lining (these are VERY easy to use and markedly improve the look of the model) - Tweezers for applying some of the very small decals - A matte top-coat spray can (makes the model look less plastic-y) All of the above tools cost me less than $50, but the extra cost is still there so consider it. The kits articulation is quite good, it's very poseable. It has tons of gimmicks that are fun too: the back-mounted thrusters open by pulling on the little stabilizer wing and they have a multi-point articulated opening action. The waist-boosters also open up. The Dober gun has recoil action as well which is cool. The kit comes with a LOT of decals. I couldn't believe how many I ended up applying to this thing. The sticker-type decals are OK, not great. At a distance, you can't tell and they look fine, but up close they are really apparent. The kit also comes with dry-transfer decals, which are actually quite easy to apply when you learn how, and look really, really good up-close. They are mainly the larger decals. Overall I would say it was a great first model for me, and anyone else who wants to get into model-building and has a fond rememberence of the Lightning Count from Gundam Wing!

his rather nice variety of poses are limited
The long awaited Master Grade of the Tallgeese 1 is a beauty for hobby builders. I'll start with what few cons I can come up with. The hands are partials that are interchangeable, and can be tough to swap out. Tallgeese is a bit back heavy. Without a proper stand, his rather nice variety of poses are limited. The color sticker for the vernier rockets is fragile and harder to apply. If you have any skill with paint or gunpla panel markers, you should do that instead of using those stickers. The eyes are clear instead of the classic blue sheen, also needs custom painting if you want to change it. On a neutral note, the color scheme and slight design elements are made to match a modern redesign of Tallgeese1, if you prefer the old look you need to do some painting. If you like the new look, like I do, it's a cool take on a classic. The pros? Once you have a stand, it poses rather well. It can pose pretty okay without a stand, but you have to balance the thrusters. For the creative, you can rather easily mod it a bit to make a Leo unit. The joints are beautiful, the legs and arms have the right balance of support and flexibility. It looks wonderful with just some subtle panel lining, not hard to do even for those of us with little to no artistic abilities. Gray ultra fine marker, some time, and there you go. It's Tallgeese, which is worth 5 pros alone. The waist armor is some of the best I've seen on gunpla in the MG scale. It comes with two beam sabers, and two beams to match. The shield and dober gun make it fully armed, with no extra purchases. Can't rate it highly enough. If you liked Gundam Wing, get Tallgeese.

One of my favorite kits
The Master Grade Tallgeese was a pretty fun kit to build.Even unpainted it still looks pretty great and there's a good amount of angles you can pose it into. I've done some slight panel lining on mine and haven't placed any stickers on it other than for the eyes and the main gun. My only complaints about it is that for the main gun & somewhat for the shield, it's a bit difficult to have it in a lot of different angles because the hand wants to detach from the arm if stretched too far but it's not that big of a problem because both the gun and shield are attached at the shoulder as well so they dot even need a hand to hold them in place.Like most of the Gundam Wing kits, it's pretty solid and doesn't feel like it'll fall apart easily. There may be some stability issues with the weight distribution of the booster packs on the back if you're trying to stand this kit up on its feet but I haven't really tried it yet. You're able to angle the boosters up,down, left and right so you may be able to find a good angle to stand it up in. Overall great kit.

Definitely a must-have for Gundam Wing fans
This was the first Gundam series model I built, absolutely loved the Tallgeese. This is a great beginner model for those looking to move up from HGs / RGs. The details are great. The only reason I'm removing a star is because, with all Tallgeese kits, the abdominal joint (Part C1-22) they are known for breakikg at the ball joint and needing to be pinned, but it's a super easy fix. Ordered a second one to do a clean build with the paint scheme of the TV version.

Amazing mg kit
Amazing kit. The tallgeese is as always amazing and sticks out not really hard to build either. The gun has a spring in the barrel to mimic the recoil of the gun only issue I see is the visor is clear instead of light blue like it should be.

Tallgoose
Overall a great kit. 2 Big caveats. 1.) Obviously if you arent into model kits or this is your first model kit in the Master Grade series, make sure you know what you are in for and be ready for the work.2.) Tallgeese has a pretty horrid physical design. Very top heavy, and the Dobber gun basically doesnt work in reality. So that gives this kit a handicap. Otherwise I give it a 4. Negatives. As mentioned the thrsters really throw off the balance of what is otherwise a very athletic kit. The mechanism for the thrusters is really cool, but I'd rather have lighter thrusters for better balance. And the Dobbergun/Shield are virtually ineffective. The Shield should stay on its rack, and the Dobber gun only has a few posistions without is holster, and fewer with the holster. Lastly, the visor... if you want the blue you have to pick up paints or some sharpie (I opted for the sharpie and it worked out really good when I colored the Leo monoeye and the back of the visor.) Positives. Beautiful build, beautiful kit, and a lot of great gimmicks Very posable, even when you factor in the weapons. Gray area; I personally love the new color scheme, but for a lot of folks its hit or miss. .

one of my favorite models currently in my collection
Really gorgeous and fun-to-build kit, one of my favorite models currently in my collection. Even with the backpack, it stands surprisingly well on its own. I still suggest purchasing a 1/100 action base. Besides, Tallgeese looks infinitely better in the air. My only issue, and this may be user error on my part, is that some of the plastic pieces don't seem to fit as snugly together as pictured. On each of my Tallgeese's jetpack pieces, there are considerably large gaps between some of the plastic "plates" that don't seem to be intentional design. Even so this isn't a big deal for me, as mine is on an action base "in-flight" with the jetpack open, so you can't really see the gaps. Tip for applying the dry-transfer decals: use an Exacto knife to cut the decals out individually, and then put a fairly large square of scotch tape completely over the decal (be sure not to accidentally flip the cut-out decal, as determining which is the transfer side can be tough for smaller ones). This gives you a wide surface area to tape the decal down snugly in the correct position, even curved surfaces, before rubbing it onto the plastic.

Spitzen-Gunpla!

Perfect.
Great kit! Wing kits are smaller than your average MG's but still as good a build. Stickers for the small wings don't look fantastic so needed to be painted. Would have been good if the wings were made of 3 parts rather than 1. But the great amount of RG style stickers more than make up for it. Overall great. Tallgeese is my favorite design and this kit really does it justice. Quicker than specified shipping. Well packaged goods. No issues what so ever.
