Really impressed - simple setup and works brilliantly
Really pleased with this screen. Setup was quick and straightforward, and wireless Apple CarPlay connected to my iPhone without any hassle. The 9โ display is a great size - big enough for maps and music without feeling ridiculous on the dashboard. The touchscreen is responsive, the picture is clear and Apple Maps looks particularly good on it. Music controls also work exactly as expected, and switching between navigation and audio is nice and smooth. It comes with a good selection of mounting options and accessories too, so thereโs plenty of flexibility depending on your car. For anyone with an older vehicle that doesnโt have CarPlay built in, this is a very easy way of modernising it without replacing the factory stereo. For the money, Iโm genuinely impressed. Would happily recommend it.

Itโs great!
My car does not have a working cigarette lighter. It is a 2018 Nissan Sentra. I donโt have Apple CarPlay in my car and I really enjoyed it on cars that I have rented. I decided I would purchase this for a trip and it was wonderful. Itโs very helpful. Itโs huge. I will say it is extremely large. I bought a USB-C cord to charge it in my car because my car does have a USB port. You will need either a USB cord with USB-C or a cigarette lighter to keep this thing powered up. Iโd say itโs really worth it. It has to be plugged into a power source and the car turned on in order to work. I bought the $10 insurance in case something happens with it. I think itโs well worth it. I have it hooked up to my window because I donโt really want to put it anywhere else. It works well, it does take some learning. It plays through my car Speakers through Bluetooth and it sounds pretty good. I use it for GPS (Waze and Apple Maps) and I also use it to listen to music. Itโs really awesome and I highly suggest getting this. There Was one time that it did turn off in the middle of me driving and turned back on, Iโm not sure what happened. However this is a great idea. I didnโt want to spend $500-1000 getting it installed In my car, my car already has a back up camera so I did not purchase the one with a back up camera, however I would say that thatโs pretty good deal. Ive left it in a heated car all day for weeks at a time and there are no issues, however, I wonโt suggest leaving it in the heat. The features are great. Itโs just like a regular CarPlay, Apple CarPlay or Android CarPlay. Itโs durable. Itโs easy to read and the speakers actually not too bad if thatโs all youโre going to use if you have an older car or you do something like DoorDash or any of those things and youโre looking for something to help you. I really suggest getting this. I also told my parent, my dad, he does delivery jobs like that and I think itโll be really helpful for him. Im so glad they offer this for people that do not have factory CarPlay, its well worth the price and saved me a ton of money. Update: itโs Jan 2026 and this baby is still going! I had to buy a replacement arm to hold it that attaches to my window. Sometimes with iPhone updates I find sound issues where I wasnโt able to hear navigation from Apple Maps. Could just be user error. Not sure but this thing is SO worth the purchase. If it does out Iโll absolutely buy another one.

Very nice unit for the price with outstanding customer service!
My car is from 2015 and has Bluetooth for my Android phone but that's it. I really wanted Android Auto so that I could have a display with bigger maps, play streaming music through it and have my text messages read when they were received. I watched a number of online videos and reviews of various units and this LAMTTO looked like it was the best bang for the buck, so I ordered one. Out of the box, I followed the simple instructions of turning my phone's Bluetooth and WiFi on. I had already paired my phone with the car, so I just needed to pair it with the LAMTTO unit. This went smoothly and the WiFi connection was also set up. I chose to output the sound from the unit using Bluetooth and that was it. The unit was up and running after no more than a couple of a minutes of setup. My phone is a Pixel and so I am using Android Auto. I was able to use the Google Maps app and YouTube Music. Everything works like a dream. What really impressed me is that without changing anything in the car or on the device, I am still able to use my car's microphone for phone calls and the steering wheel mounted controls that came with the car for jumping from track to track on YouTube Music work (as do the volume and mute controls). If there's anything else I need, I simply say "OK, Google" and make my request. It's worked flawlessly. I wanted to change the logo from the default sports car to the car company logo so the device looks more "stock." I contacted customer service and they walked me through the process via email. In case anyone is interested in how to do this there is a SD card reader under the sticker that has the button functions on the left side of the device. I formatted the SD card as an ExFAT device on my PC and created a 1024 x 600 72 dpi JPEG image which was saved as boot_logo.jpg on the SD card. I booted the device up without the card in the slot. After the device was powered up, I put the card in and saw a message that notified me that the boot logo had been updated. I shut the device down and removed the card. Upon the next boot, the new logo appeared and that was it. Thanks to Nancy at LAMTTO for the guidance to get this done. The only nitpicky downside I have discovered is that the even though there is an automatic switch setting between day and night mode for Google Maps, it doesn't work. Other reviewers also noted this. All things considered, this is actually a small annoyance because it's relatively simple to change the mode on the device as the need arises. All in all, I highly recommend this device if you're looking to update an older car to Android Auto without pulling the whole stereo system as so many of the Android Auto head units do. I took a look at several different size configurations of these devices and this one allowed me to see a big Google Maps area (great for my old eyes) and the unit still sits below the horizon of the front windshield. I'd recommend before buying any unit that you find out the height and width of the unit, draw it up and put the drawing in the car to see the real estate it's going to consume -- you want to be able to see your entire windshield field of view. Safety first! I am now in the process of ordering a piggyback fuse tap to wire this into my fuse box so the cigarette outlet in the center dash console isn't used and the install will look cleaner. Overall this is an awesome product and the company provides awesome customer support! I couldn't be anymore pleased.

It's good - but you should know a couple of things
First, if a single or double din unit works in your car, spend the money to get that. You'll avoid the visible wires and potentially awkward mounting position that comes with a portable unit. But assuming that, like me with my 2005 Acura MDX, that's not an option, this is a good solution. The screen is bright and clear, the sound quality is just fine, and setup couldn't be simpler. Two things to know: 1) There is some lag. Not when swiping through apps, but when actually scrolling through songs in Apple Music. when I click on a song, it takes a few seconds to begin playing it. Not a big deal, but definitely noticeable compared to the Dual unit I have in my other car, which is lightning fast. 2) The reverse camera is an 'always on' camera. This means that it does NOT automatically display when you put the car in reverse. You click on the camera icon (which you can't do from CarPlay - it requires first clicking the Home button) and you see the view from the rear camera. This is good for people who tow, or simply want that view (it works really well as a bigger mirror/blind spot helper), maybe not so good for people used to newer cars with a camera that automatically comes on when you shift into reverse. 3) Also with the reverse camera, there are no parking/guide lines. I didn't think this would be a big deal, but they are actually very helpful in determining how far you are from another car or object, or when negotiating a narrow parking space. I miss them. The camera is still useful, and it's not a deal-breaker, but you should know they aren't there. One final point on the camera - you can only use the company's camera. You can't use any other brand, because it has a bespoke input size (smaller than Aux). Overall, for the money - hard to beat. No regrets.
