Hestia APPLIANCES Professional Blender with 2 L Jar

90% vitamix at almost 1/3rd the price. No equivalent product at this price in Indian market yet that can make smoothies , hot soups and nut butters. Worth every penny. Below is my observation b/w Hestia and the ever popular Vitamix 5200. Hestia nutri blend vs vitamix 5200: 1. Hestia has 8 speeds along with Pre-programmed options . In addition , when using the pre programmed options, it is possible to pause and check the consistency and then restart from where you left. However there is a jerk in the machine when it restarts since there is no soft restart. Comparatively Vitamix is fully manual with no preprograms or touch screen. Vitamix has 11speeds. 2. Vitamix can go at extremely low speeds so good for rough chopping of vegetables and for mayonnaise or egg beating. Hestia low speed is comparatively higher than that of vitamix. 3.Vitamix can be pulsed at any speed by selecting the rotary knob and toggling the on-off switch. Hestia can be pulsed only at the highest speed. 4. Blades of Hestia are blunt vs blades of vitamix which are comparatively sharp. Sharp here doesn't mean razor sharp . Gentle touch in either won't cut your fingers . But vitamix is "less blunt" than Hestia . Though both are not as blunt as Blendtec. 5. Hestia won't start till jar is present. Vitamix can start without the jar. Again Hestia better w .r.t safety. 6. Mechanical switches and knobs on vitamix somehow present a better control in case of quick control of blending quality. Though this is personal liking. 7. Vitamix has extremely long cord more than a metre with cord wrap. Hestia has a short cord around 2feet. 8. Hestia has an excellent rotating jar for thick ingredients and lesser quantity. No such jar in vitamix. For lesser quantities need to buy separate jar which would cost almost 85% the price of the whole Hestia blender. Thick recipes need to be made using the tamper. 9. Premiumness feeling more in vitamix but costs 3times than Hestia. Vitamix has the logos etched and embossed all over on the motor base, rubber pad , jars etc. Hestia has a logo only on the motor base. Plastic quality somewhat is better in Vitamix. 10.Excellent customer care for Hestia . No direct vitamix support in India. 11. Vitamix comes with a thick colourfully recipe book and a dvd. No such recipe book with Hestia. However internet is full of recipes of Vitamix. Almost all can be made in Hestia. Both are good at dry and wet grinding 12. Vitamix has proved itself since decades and has been subject to all tests and trials. It's made IN USA and claims to have 70% USA parts. It is supposed to last very long with extremely low failure rates. Hestia is a new entrant and has to prove itself for reliability. Regarding the place of manufacture nothing is mentioned on the box but the company does claim that it's assembled in Korea with parts coming from different places. Both use Eastman Tritan for there jars. Though in the web site of Eastman chemicals you can find Vitamix as there customer but not Hestia . But that may be simply because only extremely large players are mentioned . Hestia is probably the first "real" blender in the Indian market at this price. If you are a fan of Vitamix , have the budget and are ready to take the warranty risk, you would never a go wrong with it. Else Hestia is a fantastic option. Overall with an excellent customer support it is a fantastic value for money.

Excellent blender... does everything it advertises effortlessly... The customer service is also excellent, just call the number for any of your queries and I am sure it will be answered by a very well informed person... I have called 2 times once before buying and once after and on both occasions it was a great experience... I was looking at getting a Ninja Chef or a Vitamix, but they are overly expensive in India and hard to find... this does the same things... It's a bit pricey, but worth it... Also, it would be great if a small container was also included... Sometimes the 2L jar is an overkill... I will probably order the smaller container eventually, but it's another 4k :-( so only if it's really needed...

if you are sitting on the fence wondering which blender to buy then your wait is over. I normally don't leave reviews on amazon but since this has been one of my best purchases ever I needed to mention this. A month ago i was wondering whether I should buy vitamix but as it was not within my budget for home use I decided to explore some other options and that's why I came to amazon. I saw some glowing reviews for hestia blender and right from the start, they personally called me and answered all my questions and offered me good pre-sales support. Not just that they went out of the way for next 2 weeks to answer my other questions as well after I purchased the blender. Very few and almost none of indian companies will go out of the way to show so much good customer support. Also let me tell you that the blender is worth every penny if you are going to use it everyday, I would highly recommend. Right from making soups, smoothies, nut butters it can do it all. Hestia blender deserves more than 5 stars for outstanding product and customer support.

This blender is a Godsent. I am using it for about 6 months now. U will never fall short of power when u are using this. Mixing spices , yes I have grided haldi dry sticks....does it's job exceptionaly well. Now I am about to but their iq hoender also because it's more handy for grinding everyday spices and my mother tells me that the big grinder jar is too much in size for grinding small portions of spices. Great job Hestia. Hope to see new products in time to come.

Preset functions make it really easy to use. Modern body design and good quality. Really powerful blades. I use it to make tomato puree, fruit smoothies and blended coffee. Update: Panel does not light up after plugging in and powering on. Blade starts running as soon as power is switched on. Customer service told me they will send a technician. 15 days and several follow ups later, no one has visited.

This is one of the finest blender I have witnessed. I have tried making nut butters, gluten free flours, Dosa and idli batters, smoothies and soups. Everything has resulted in perfect consistency and I must say in less time. Sensor option is fantastic. Easy to clean just by adding water to the jar once used. Worth the money. Thank you Hestia team for great product.

This blender is a step up from household to professional grade appliances. We use ours multiple times a day. It is great to have a blender that does not break down after frequent use. One that is easy to put and take off from the base. It makes excellent smoothies and soups. The customer service is friendly, makes a change from tech support just reading out from a standardized document. Suggestions for change? - The plastic spatula that comes with it is not shaped to fit the blender-jar and so doesn't really help scoop things out - The jar is so large, it's a pain to wash if one wants a small amount blended (like chutneys). It would be nice if, at this price, it came with two jars, one big and one small.

I was searching for a good blender after seeing the one with my friend in Vancouver. Vita mix was not available at 240 v. And was very pricey too.Using coverter for changing AC to DC is said to reduce the capability of the machine. After reading a few reviews I settled for Hestia.The buyers most of them found satisfied.i am fond of fruits and smoothies. I found the machine as per my expectations. I am writing this review after month. The machine is functioning very nicely.it had a trouble after two months. After talking to service centre they diagnosed that a small bolt was to be replaced . I got a parcel from Thane, Mumbai. Got it changed by a local mechanic.Since then we r using this machine daily for smoothies. No trouble.i was impressed by the honesty of the company,they have mentioned the source of the different parts of the machine. I am happy with the usage and out put of the machine. It has a good price and Amazon never fails delivering in time. I recommend the machine to all those who want to have a heavy duty machine without any trouble .
