It has protective stickers on either side to prevent scratches until you put it on your phone, which is a nice feature. And it shows off the look of the bare look of the phone if that's what you like. My only complaint is it doesn't work well with a lot of MagnaSafe devices. After a few tries you can get it to stick for a minute and it will charge but then the magnet will give way and eventually it falls off. If you don't have any MagnaSafe chargers and don't plan on using them and you want to show off the look of the phone out of the box without covering it up, it's a good choice. II haven't used it long enough to have any evaluations of how it holds up or how it protects the phone from drops. The grip is also good.
