Revitalising my headphones, the AHG Accessory House Global ear pads have given my well-loved Bathys a fresh lease on life. Those previously worn-out pads now boast a luxurious feel with premium PU Leather, allowing me to enjoy my playlists during my morning journey to work or while savouring my favourite podcasts at home. The high-density FlexiSoft foam provides outstanding comfort, ensuring the sound isolation keeps me in my zone without external disturbances. Changing the pads was quite straightforward. I followed the video guide provided. It would have been better with more guidance specifically tailored to the Bathys, but with a bit of adjusting, I managed. These new ear pads have certainly improved my headphone experience, ensuring they maintain their excellent sound quality and long-term durability. A definite recommendation for any music enthusiast who values comfort and sound quality.

These Premium Ear Pads are an excellent upgrade for anyone looking to enhance comfort by replacing old worn out ear pads. Made from high-quality PU leather and FlexiSoft high-density foam, these cushions provide a plush feel and mold perfectly around the ears, making long listening sessions much more comfortable. The noise-canceling properties of these ear pads are quite good, effectively blocking out ambient noise and allowing for an immersive listening experience. They really do enhance the passive noise isolation, which is a nice bonus. The foam used provides the right amount of firmness without being too stiff, and it feels like it’s made to last, with no signs of flattening even after a few hours’ use. Of course, it remains to be seen what the long term use effect will be.

Bathys are very expensive headphones, and it’s obviously worth getting the pads replaced as they wear out. But as these pads are made by a third party and not Bathys themselves, there’s no justification for them being as expensive as this, as they are just basic PU and foam pads, nowt special, and certainly not a great replacement for the original sheepskin pads. Something of a rip off then.

I've had my Focal Bathys for a few years now, and I absolutely love them. However, the original ear pads were starting to show their age. They were getting a bit worn out and uncomfortable. I decided to try these AHG Accessory House Global replacement ear pads, and I'm so glad I did. They're a perfect fit for my Bathys, and they're incredibly comfortable. The high-density foam is soft and supportive, and the PU leather is smooth and luxurious. The sound quality is also excellent. The ear pads help to improve the noise cancellation, and they make the music sound even clearer and more detailed. If you're looking for a way to revive your Bathys headphones, I highly recommend these replacement ear pads. They're a great way to get your headphones feeling and sounding like new again.

They fit perfectly. Took about a week to break them in, but they are more robust than the base Focal model.

This review is for the Premium Bathys Ear Pads Cushions Compatible with Focal bathys Headphones. I haven't actually installed these on my Focal Bathy's headphones yet. This is because I haven't had them very long and the pads that came with the headphones haven't worn out yet. However, I do use them a lot and its just a matter of time before I'll be installing these new ones. Okay, so that out of the way, I've included photos and stacking them on top of my existing Bathy earpads, the size of these look identical. The thickness does seem a slight bit thicker than the originals, but not so much so that it would change the sound profile, in my opinion. Further, looking on the back of the earpads, the installation rings and clipping mechanism looks very solid. I own a lot of headphones and have swapped out lots of earpads and I'm fully confident these will install just fine.

These are decent earpads in their own right, but not great compared to the stock ones. In the photos attached, the AHG pads are on the left and the original Bathys pads on the right. Sorry it might be hard to see some details on the black pads. 1-Materials: The protein leather is a bit different and the interior foam is as well. The compression and rebound of the foam on the AHG pads is lighter, meaning it takes less force to compress and pops back up faster. The connecting rings seem well made and allow some flex. 2-Sound: The sound from the headphones is affected. The headphones still sound broadly the same, but when I compare directly, the sound is noticeably lighter on the AHG side. If I have a different pad on each side, I can notice the bass being off-center, leaning towards the Bathys side. 3-Noise Cancelling: The ANC is also affected, in that the AHG pads reduce the effectiveness of the cancelling. This is the biggest concern as the noise cancelling on the Bathys already isn’t that great. If we say the stock ANC is 60%, I’d say these earpads pull that down to 40%, maybe 45%. Some of this may be down to the age/wear on the pads; my Bathys pads have had use, though it’s hard to quantify how much, compared to brand new pads. I don’t think the discrepancy can be brought down to just earpad age/wear though. I think new Bathys earpads are around $100, so at $40, these may be a reasonable choice if you’re OK with the trade-offs. To be clear, the sound is not bad but it is a little bit different; if you’re good with tweaking EQ, you might be totally fine getting the sound to where you want it. If you’re mostly listening in already quiet environments, it might be OK that the ANC effectiveness is reduced.
