However, It was really hard to find another model that would fit in the same cabinet opening: some were too tall, some were too wide and some would stick out too far. Plus we wanted a white one to match the other appliances. We settled on this model because it was closest to the right width and depth, and even though it was a little too tall, we were able to modify the cabinet opening pretty easily to accommodate the extra height. It does stick out a little (~1/4") beyond the cabinet depth, but this is hardly noticeable. I checked the reviews to make sure the dimensions were what the specs claimed. The specs are indeed accurate. This unit is so quiet it is hard to tell when it is actually running! Plus it has a turntable, which the old one didn't. It defrosts meat well if you flip meat when it tells you too, I've thawed ground beef, pork chops, steaks, and chicken. The table fits three very large potatoes and the extra length is nice when defrosting long trays of meat. I don't like that the timer beeps only once at completion, I prefer a timer that beeps until you hit clear or cancel in case i don't hear it immediately. The clear/cancel/pause buttons seem a little weird and it will display err if microwave is opened before completing time.
