Excellent quality! Wonderful details! Tremendous value!
Adult (30+) brick builder here. Not affiliated review… I was curious about this brand and gave it a try… I was also skeptical about none major brand brick sets in general but really liked to have building sets with lights baked in… so here we go Pros: 1. Good quality. Clutch power is different from major brands but works for me as some parts actually feels better this way. Color consistency is very good. No issues at all with quality. I did actually broke off one piece that’s was held with something like a nano-stud but was mainly my own fault as I was fussing too much about alignment and put waaay too much force than I should. 2. Good design. Nice details throughout with numerous prints (NO stickers!!). I really love the coffee station setup, even better with the warm light from the ceiling! I will arrange this next to my espresso machine for a complete setup :) 3. Good instructions. I consider myself as very experienced brick builder and the instructions are good. Some steps are a bit too combined but no issue for me. The cabling is a bit tricky but the instruction about them is very good. The built-in cabling also slows me down as I like to fuss with alignment and orientation but for me it is a plus to enjoy the longer build process. 4. Built-in lights and power! This is revolutionary ! It brings so much more out of the building sets. I had very few brick sets of building as I don’t like to have much of the details hidden in the back in darkness. This is also the main reason I tried this set. Street lights, bedroom lights, reading lights and so much more!!! Really like all of them! 5. Extraordinary value! With the amount value I’m getting in terms of quality, design, and fun factor, it is tremendous value compared to major brands!!! Cons: 1. Difficulty level, this is probably for older kids or adults as the cabling adds to the complexity and also the requirement for tactility of hand/finger. 2. Design. Maybe a bit nitpicking but some parts you will still have to clutch on top of wires, leaving small gaps and unevenness that compromises both aesthetics and structural robustness. Example is around the top area of the front portion on the second level (one picture). Maybe they can come up with new piece designs to accommodate? Another thing is structural robustness across some tall brick pillars. Sometimes there is little overlapping and/or cross connection along different vertical directions for stabilization. I messed up some parts when pressing down during my build and had to repeat sometimes. 3. Color. Really nitpicking here but I would love to see a more bright/shiny gold tone if possible. 4. Please ignore the name of the brand….. I would really recommend changing the name. Luckily the short name is F.O. Overall: Very very good build and excellent product. I was totally not expecting such nice experience. Can’t wait to buy more from this brand. Also, just ordered the police car with the lights for my kid. I’m sure he will love that! Additionally, I could really use some kit for motion sensing on the lights. I am regardless going to DIY one but would be nice to have some motion sensing bricks to reduce the clutter (if they can make it).

Amazing build. I had a such a good time building the cafe but before I get started, a little bit of background. This was my first set from this company and I knew it was one of their older sets so I had an some background that the lighting was going to be challenge. This company has come a long way since those intial sets and I am looking forward to building more of them. What I love? Zero stickers! Do you hear that Lego? Zero Stickers! The printed titles and other prints are beautiful. The build of the espresso machine withe silver drum laquered pieces. OMG! You have to see it believe it. The details whether on the first floor, second floor or the third were abundant. The quality of the bricks is just as good as Lego and the instructions are not dumb, they are in some instances, a little basic if you're an experienced builder. Take your time though. There are some similiarly colored pieces and you may confuse the two. Zero missing pieces as well. Overall visually stunning and did I mention the price? Super affordable. I just got the newspaper stand and I really want their Old West sets. Thanks!

Best Non-LEGO Company I’ve Seen
Been loving LEGO since I was a kid, but they’ve gotten more and more expensive throughout the years. Came across this set/company by just browsing around, and I am insanely happy that I did. Brick Quality / Clutch - The clutch power is very nice, can’t 100% say it’s on LEGO level, but it’s pretty dang competitive. Even when taking the pieces off and rebuilding after a few days, the clutch power still stayed the same. The real test will be after a few years for sure, but for something I’d want to build once and then keep as is, it’s perfect. They’re also not the “mini-size” like a bunch of other non-LEGO building blocks on Amazon, and they seem to be compatible with LEGO themselves. They also feel great and sturdy, definitely not cheap feeling at all. Instructions/Ease of Building - Came with a nice big booklet, the normal building steps were very easy to follow, but when it came to lighting, it threw me off a bit and delayed me a bit. The confusing parts were messing with the slack of the wires, it tells you where to wrap it around, but it’s not 100% perfect and left me taking off and re-building some parts. There’s also instructions online which I used since I was building on my table and to save space. Also keep in mind that most of their sets are highly detailed, plenty of small pieces to kind of make you tired of building for a bit, but that’s what makes it even more fun. Lighting - This was what really pushed me over the edge, the fact that it already included lighting pieces, this definitely sets them apart from LEGO because if you’re factoring the lighting pieces into the price, then the price per brick becomes even cheaper and better deal. It made the set stunning. Design - Designs are brilliant, nice little details EVERYWHERE in the set. It’s not just some random building/cafe, but it’s got a little story behind it too. Price - Price per piece is very nice, got this set for about 70-85 bucks after the coupon that they had. If this was LEGO, it would be an easy $150+. Also just like I recently stated, this comes with lighting already, which makes this even more worth. 100000% would recommend and will buy more.

Excellent lighted building blocks set
I took a chance on the set when it was on sale early during the release. The blocks are of high quality and instructions were very descriptive. The lighting kit (Included!!!) was a great addition to the set. The set is very solid and has great play ability due to whole walls opening to reach the inside. My daughter (9) loved being able to move minifigures around in the set with lots of places you can have them sit and stand while still having a slick appearance. This set comes with Fun Wholes own minifigures which are nice but the set is equivalent size to Lego so you could use those as well. They also have a lot of pieces which are their own design and work well. I highly recommend this set for anyone building a town as it is half the price lego would ask. Also there are no stickers (all printed pieces).

Excellent Bricks Building Set - So much FUN; You will not be disappointed!
This FunWhole Book-Cafe building set with lighting is so much fun! My husband and I bought this (along with the news stand) for our 8-year old son for Chanukah. I worked with my son building this: I sorted the parts and got them ready to go for each step (sigh) while my son actually read the directions and built it. (Whenever he stepped away, I would assemble some sections myself!). The fact that these FunWhole sets include lighting is so top level, they beat the name brand set hands down! The directions are flawless; pieces are bagged by each step and fully coordinate with the directions - very easy to organize and get to building straight away! There are no missing pieces; they include EXTRA PIECES! I wish I had bought a set for myself because my son ENJOYED building this set so much, he wouldn't let anybody else build it! The only downside is, we're addicted to these now and will be purchasing other sets . FunWhole is the BEST! Their sets are so much fun - you will not be disappointed!

Another Win for Funwhole--Who Needs Lego?
This Funwhole set delivers a ton of bang for the buck: it's way cheaper than comparable Lego sets and the brick quality is just as good. The integrated lighting system, which uses custom light bricks and channel pieces for routing the wires, is a huge plus, adding to the finished appeal and creating some fun challenges while building the set. The detail, inside and out, is top notch. Unlike many Lego sets, even the ones that cost many hundreds of bucks, there are no stickers to fuss with, only quality printed parts. The manual is very clear and well printed. In fact, the overall presentation and packaging are nicer than Lego. The downsides are small: the electrical contact connector pieces between floors can pop off and remain stuck together, so use care when taking floors apart so you don't damage the wiring. These pieces were a good idea from Funwhole but one that needs more tweaking and refinement. Also, the figures' arms feel rather spindly: it's unclear how they'd stand up to play. (I'm adult builder/collector, so the figures just go in bag and will never be used.) Funwhole keeps innovating and creating really high-quality sets for prices that undercut the competition, and they have a lot of really cool-looking sets in the pipe. More power to them.

A good row house building block set with lights!
Funwhole (now called Lumibricks) is one of two alt-Lego builders who make some very good sets. The sets are sturdy, the instructions easy to follow, and the detail is amazing. And it has lights that you can power with batteries or USB. I have several of their sets, and this book cafe was another good one. It's as good as Lego IMHO. I'm planning to buy several of these, put them on the mantle, add multi-colored lights externally, and create my own Christmas village. If you or your kids love building bricks but you don't love paying the Lego tax, I recommend Funwhole and this set to you.

Fun build, fantastic display piece.
I was skeptical about a non-lego brand but this is my third set now and they just as good, if not better and a far better value. This set in particular was even better than the pictures! A beautiful build with so many exterior details. The lights just take it to the next level and make it a fantastic display piece. There are also many great details on the interior easily seen by the easy to open back walls. Build was smooth and all parts were included. Great value for the price!

My first FUNWHOLE(now Lumibricks) modular building with lighting included
Till now I mainly built products from the danish "market leader" (and their "sticker desease, it seems Lego simply cannot print on bricks while all the good competion, including Funwhole/Lumibricks CAN for LESS MONEY) till I found a german youtuber("Herr der Steine", if you understand german I strongly suggest to see his videos) explaining all the BETTER options to the danish producer. So, I bought, a bit sceptical, my first Funwhole set and after receiving the package I was already surprised about the high quality box they are shipping their kit in. Strong, nice pictures on the front and more on the back/side, just so much higher quality impression than the "Original". The same goes with the manual, well structured, on quality paper(again better than my old favourite from danmark), but as well with EXCELLENT brick quality. At least on the same quality level as the big L if not even better. And the best is yet to come - ALL the kits have lighting integrated(some special bricks included to have the wires hidden), powered either by a batterie box OR an USB connection(both included for your choice). NO danish product has any light included(apart from that shabby light brick that they include on some sets an which is a single source which needs to be pushed manually to light up and you need to keep pushing it for the light to stay on, so, there is no comparison). Lets start with the included stickers! RIGHT. There are NONE in this kit BECAUSE Funwhole/Lumibricks has ALL PRINTS on the bricks(very exactly alligned with support bricks). That's how I want a TOP product arriving in my home. In a nutshell - top bricks, excellent manual, great package, worth keeping, light included, prints for much less money the market leader is asking for some comparable kit! I do hope Lumibricks keep pushing out more of this high quality set(I suggest they bring out a nice bus with light for the city series, I would need one, especially there is already the set for a bus stop). I strongly suggest you get this kit! You will be stunned, especially if you built L...Kits before. Such an upgrade on every level.

Excelente calidad y mejor precio
Un gran producto que le da sopas con hondas a sets de un número de piezas similares y a un gran precio. Buenos detalles y la iluminación hace que se vea mucho mejor, y no se vende por separado.
