Works Great with Fiber Connection
Recently upgraded to the Orbi 770 from my old Google Wifi 5 router. The speed and coverage improvements are substantial allowing me to realize my full upload and download speeds on my fiber connection. Additionally it was a surprisingly easy setup, I am always skeptical with new products, but it was a quick and easy process with no issues. The one thing I did realize and this is not a router issue but since my mobile devices are 6Ghz and Chromecast are 5Ghz they will not communicate (i.e.cast) unless the are on the same frequency and there is not a way to set the frequency on the connected devices. Very happy with my purchase works great with super fast connections inside and outside my wifi network for my NAS and wifi security cameras.

High Performance Mesh Networking
Update 2/26/2-25: My router has become increasingly unreliable. About weekly, the router's wifi radios stop working. My satellite, which is wired, continues to work so all wireless devices connect to it. Since power cycling fixes the problem and factory resetting hasn't prevented it, this is clearly a hardware or firmware problem. I've traded several emails with Netgear support and they are asking many irrelevant questions, such as to provide them with a floor plan of my house. This is not a placement issue. The router isn't working properly. I'll continue working with them, but may take this as an expensive loss and order something else. I am thoroughly satisfied with my Orbi 770 series two-pack. The setup process was straightforward and facilitated by the accompanying application. The system has consistently demonstrated stability and exceptional speed. My WiFi 6e and 7 devices have successfully utilized the full bandwidth of my Internet service over wireless connectivity. The inclusion of Armor provides network-level protection and access to a world-class antivirus solution. The range exhibited by the Orbi 770 series has been particularly impressive. I highly recommend this product to anyone seeking a reliable and efficient WiFi solution.

ORBI 770 WORKS GREAT AND VERY SIMPLE SET UP
The Orbi 770 and all their products work great. This is the third Orbi System I have bought. We bought the latest Orbi 770 to fix an WiFi internet Upload problem which turned out to be unrelated. I decided to keep the new Orbi anyway. I will give the old one away. It still works great. These are very easy to set and it is greatly improved since the original one we bought 6-7 years ago. I am only a little tech savvy and had zero problem with the set up. So easy. Download the Orbi App from the App Store and click on the upper left corner. A drop down menu appears that says " Set up new Orbi". After that just follow a few prompts. It walks you right through the set up. Very easy to do. I believe they changed those confusing color coded lights too on the old Orbi too. It just flashes white now. After the main Orbi is set up just follow another prompt for the satellite. So simple. The Orbi 770 is for larger homes but the old Orbi for a smaller home worked just fine. Very little loss of WiFi on the other side of the house from the router and modem.

Still the best
I have been a happy Orbi user for years. I purchased the RBK50 in 2018 to achieve home-wide Wi-Fi in a building constructed of concrete cinder blocks. Nothing else could give me the coverage I saw with the Orbi. It not only eliminated dead spots in the house but extended my perimeter outside to connect my Blink and Amcrest cameras. I have been perfectly happy with the RBK50 … until I realized that it was now my bottleneck for the 1Gbps internet service that I had migrated to. So, I researched what was out there in the Wi-Fi 6e/Wi-Fi 7 space, starting with the latest Orbi but the price scared me off and I looked at alternatives. I found a Wi-FI 6e alternative, from a good name which was well reviewed and a fraction the cost. I ordered it and went to install it only to find that it was permanently connected to the vendor’s cloud and it was only via their cloud that you could manage your home network. I could not find a way to disable this connection. In an age where the bad guys are always ahead of the good guys I just could not be comfortable with leaving a backdoor open to my network. I went back and researched the Orbi and was relieved that, while Netgear can provide a back door (Anywhere Access) via their cloud, for remote management, this can be disabled and is disabled by default. I returned the other product, purchased the Orbi RBE772 and set it up – such a breeze. Unlike some other vendor Wi-Fi solutions (I have installed these for friends and family) that force your devices to re-authenticate to a replacement router, even if you configure the identical Wi-Fi password, I set up my new Orbi and EVERYTHING seamlessly connected! Running a router speed test, I was getting my full 1Gbps speed at the router but now have to slowly upgrade my various Wi-Fi devices that can’t operate at such a speed. In the end, while a bit pricey, the Netgear Orbi is still the best!
