Good value and product. Colors are neutral and versatile.

I was first interested in this set because of the variety of colors. I don’t regret the purchase BUT just fair warning— what I got was not linen and if it was waxed,’it was very very lightly waxed. Still works for my book binding but this gives all the tell tale signs of being synthetic, which does make it a bit stronger in most situations. Do a burn test on the end— you’ll set it melts and pulls like plastic. Again, great color variety and overall, good product but loss of one star because it’s neither natural linen nor waxed (or at the most, very LIGHTLY waxed.) That may have been the benefit overall in that since it’s not heavily waxed, it does make it a bit easier to use when sewing through layers of paper, chipboard, and leather. Edit: so apparently the first couple of spools I grabbed were either not waxed or not waxed well but the rest have been so far so that’s good. I still stand by that it is synthetic though because of my burn test. Still great product and would definitely buy again, once I am out. At the rate I make books, it might be awhile so I hope they still have the variety that they do.

A good product, especially for those who enjoy making baskets and leather stitching. Strong string has a thick wax , may look a little whitish but, the warmth of your hand makes it clear. Someone reviewed it was moldy, not true in my experiences. I've ordered several times.

Really great materials and colors

Really felt that wax thread for book binding is the way to go. It makes your binding smoother, less likely to knot and sturdier of a bind. The colors is just an added bonus for the project. When you do a color, it is easier to sew your signatures together because you can see it better.

This thread was above my expectations. The wax is just right and the colours are true.

The quality of the tread is average, but the large varieties allows me to explore with different colour options.
