Getting the right boom arm for your desk is a challenge with all the cheap and wide range of options here on amazon. I took a chance on this one as I believe this "low profile" design is the best for adjustability compared to the upright design with springs on the outside. I have really enjoyed this boom arm. It looks and feels super solid, the material used feels like it will last a long time and with the easy tightening mechanisms and the small profile, this really ticks every box I was looking for. If you can get this on a slight discount I strongly recommend this, even at full price it is probably worth it given it's apparant quality.

I’m really happy with the Aokeo AK-55 microphone arm. It’s solid, well-built, and feels very sturdy once set up. The low-profile design looks clean and professional on my desk, and it doesn’t get in the way while working or recording. Maneuverability is excellent — it moves smoothly and stays exactly where I position it, with no sagging or wobbling. Setup was super easy and straightforward. If you’re looking for a reliable, easy-to-adjust mic arm that doesn’t take up much space, this is a fantastic choice.

Very satisfied with this! Surprisingly good quality. But still I must say there are some places that might be worn down more quickly, for example the tip plastic that holds the peg you screw the microphone into very quickly looks like it might pop if you look too closely. Good; The cable management with this is easy The screw pins on the side let you lock it into a high or low position, staying quite stable and nice. Eh; Finding the right mounting place for the optimal natural movement for you when it comes to pushing it away and moving it around might be hard, this is a user and planning thing not as much as a product thing.

Very sturdy and well designed boom style microphone arm. It's made of metal with a speckle finish, it feels very sturdy and the low height means that it can tuck underneath the monitor or can swung to the side out of the way. There's no cable feed so you'd have to use velcro straps for cable management. It's much cheaper than other arms but I don't feel I'm missing out on anything. Highly recommended.

Set up is extremely easy, materials feel solid, range of movement is all you need for a low arm mic stand, it has held a Blue Yeti X perfectly with minimal dipping (heavier mics like that I would recommend tightening as much as you can otherwise it will dip & hit the desk, but once tightened was perfect), it is currently holding a HyperX Quadcast S with 0 issues, easy to move out the way when not in use & doesn’t take up a lot of desk space (Note: I have a 6ft desk so those with smaller desks or limited surrounding space might not appreciate that as much as I am able to do). Overall if you’re looking for a sturdy, functional low arm, this one is definitely worth the buy.

Absolutely great low key mic arm. Keeps the desk looking neat and tidy. The arm folds away to the side out of site when not in use. Great for gaming and streaming. Also good for meetings as it don't let the mic go infront of your face.

Wish I'd bought this sooner instead of messing around with desktop mic stands. Really solid, cable management is on point, easy to set up, feels like professional equipment. Obviously it'll fit different microphones, but I'm using it with a Rode VideoMic NTG and it's ideal.

Devo dire che questo braccio è davvero stabile: anche con microfoni relativamente pesanti non ho riscontrato vibrazioni o spostamenti indesiderati durante l’uso. La regolazione è molto flessibile: le articolazioni ruotano agevolmente e permettono di posizionare il microfono esattamente dove serve, sia in altezza che in inclinazione. La forma a basso profilo aiuta a ridurre il disturbo visivo sulla scrivania e consente di gestire bene il cavo del microfono, mantenendo l’area di lavoro ordinata. La qualità dei materiali è buona: l’acciaio forgiato dà una sensazione robusta e non sembra soggetto a deformazioni dopo settimane di utilizzo. Detto questo, ci sono alcuni punti da considerare. Il braccio richiede un po’ di tempo per essere montato correttamente, soprattutto se si vogliono bilanciare microfono e contrappesi in modo ottimale. Inoltre, pur essendo compatibile con microfoni fino a 2 kg, con modelli molto pesanti o con shock mount voluminosi può risultare meno agevole da muovere. In generale, è un buon prodotto per chi cerca stabilità e regolazioni precise senza spendere cifre eccessive. Adatto a podcast, streaming o registrazioni casalinghe, purché si considerino i limiti di peso dei microfoni più grandi.

Strong durable and works well. The ate is easy and stays snug on the dead with no problems.

I had been propping my Shure SM58 on a box, and I wanted a way to position the mic directly in front of me, with the option to slide it out of the way when not in use. The Aokeo AK-55 is a good value for a quality product. I have the non-scratch base mounted to the side of my IKEA sit-stand desk, which lets me slide the mic in front of me when gaming, then slide it off to the side the rest of the time. I use the included 3.5" extender to give extra space above the keyboard, and the extender maintains the solid feel of the Aokeo. There is no impact to the sound quality. It was very easy to set up, and there are set screws to keep everything secure. It's matte black, lightweight metal construction. I recommend the Aokeo AK-55 without reservation.
