Ive used UE Boom products for years now and they’ve never disappointed. Every other speaker brand gets blown out, or isn’t water proof, this is the speaker for the whole family. I love taking a shower with the speaker, it makes it feel like I’m at a concert how loud it is. It’s just as loud as the Mega Boom, I have a very old version of this one, and when I bought this Boom 4, it was a seamless transition. I love how I can bring it in and out the shower to change songs and get it wet without worrying about ruining it. I’ve ruined so many phones and laptops like this over the years until I was fortunate enough to buy this speaker. It is on the pricey side, but it’s so worth it. These speakers are really loud, and I listen to music with tons of base in it, I was afraid the speaker would blow out. My sister got this model I wanna say about 5 years ago and after a month, the speaker started to sound corse like there was sand in it. I was afraid this would happen to this one, but they’ve made significant upgrades. I feel like this speaker is as loud as the old model or the Mega Boom I had if not louder. It’s a lot smaller than the Mega Boom which is nice, I thought it wouldn’t be as loud I’m very pleased. It has a portable design, it’ll fit in your cup holder, if you have big enough pockets it’ll even fit in there. I love this speaker. I bet the smaller version is even just as loud too. You can add a feature where it automatically plays your playlist if you hold down the center button without touching your phone. It only works for SoundCloud and Apple Music at the moment which is a little lame because Spotify for the win, but still cool, I bet they’re working on getting it anyway. If you’re looking for a waterproof durable speaker get this one. I believe the Mega Boom I mentioned is about 10 years old and still works like a charm. The only reason I bought a new one is so I wouldn’t had to share anymore. The color I got is adorable, the speaker is cuter in person. It connects to my phone in a matter of seconds, if you have an Apple device (I don’t know about any other devices) it makes it super easy to turn on and off your Bluetooth with this new update. Eveything is so easy. The play time lasts forever. I primarily use it in the shower, and if I don’t use it as loud, I won’t have to charge it for weeks. If I’m using it in my room for low ambience music or some white noise for my baby sleeping, it’ll last a long time as well. It does not die fast when you listen to loud music, but it speeds up the process. This will turn a week of charge into a couple of days. Either way I love the speaker, it’s amazing. Forgot to mention the new speakers don’t use the terrible android charger anymore that constantly broke inside the speaker. They switched to the type-C charger which makes things so much easier. I can use the charger for my phone, the speaker, and my baby’s sound machine. They’re all in one area, and the type C charges so fast. Just very very convenient. This is the speaker. It’s definitely worth the money and will literally last you decades. The video I attached shows how good it sounds just through my phones speakers, the video keeps glitching because I’m holding my baby lol. UE BOOM ROCKS.

I have used a JBL Flip 5 for a few years and am still happy with it. I wanted another bluetooth speaker to use in my workshop. The sound samples from Flip 6 were good in the bass but sounded too hot in the treble for me. The Wonderboom 4 also sounds like the high end has too much sizzle for my taste. The Flip 7 sounds a lot better but is $50 more expensive than the current Boom 4 at $139 CAD. Note: The Boom 4 price has moved back up to $199. Flip 7 might be the better deal at this price point. Boom 4 seems to really shine in the clear and dynamic presentation of a natural midrange. The Boom 4 low end rolls off a bit more than the Flip 5 but retains a punchy presence. The Boom 4 really outshines the Flip 5 in its clarity and dynamics. This little speaker seems very well suited for my listening tastes of classical, jazz and other laid back styles. The UE app has battery indicator, a nice remote power on feature and a simplified EQ adjustment. It can also control playlists from Apple and apparently some others. This speaker will please people with similar tastes but probably not satisfy younger beach party listeners whose contemporary playlists appreciate the boosted bass and treble frequencies of other designs.

New Boom 4 red (coral): My Boom 3 was wonderful but was unable to take a charge after about 7 years. Just got the Boom 4 ad can't speak to issues up the road yet but it paired easily, has great sound, and looks like the same build which is terrific - I dropped the 3 many times, it fell in the bathtub ad was fine, I'm a potter and clay dust never phased it, insanely durable. Mostly reviewing early to praise the color of this one. It's actually a really lovely soft coral with a quiet pink trim and a pale blue loop. Sounds ridiculous but honestly it's the prettiest speaker I've ever seen, kind of Pottery Barn colors. I also like the big raised buttons - I listen at night and it's very easy to perform all of the stuff by feel in the dark. I'll edit this review if problems arise but I love everything UE.

The speaker works perfectly. Sounds bass-y and loud and easy to connect. Very versatile speaker that works everywhere and long battery life as well.
