It is not bitter, it does not taste burned like some dark roasts can. Also - I live nearly an hour from this storefront, so I am SO GLAD they are now shipping via Amazon. If I had a beef (and I don’t) it would be that the only option is whole bean. My parents were in from Florida (super irritating coffee snobs - you know the type) and loved the Black Squirrel roast - except they no longer have a grinder so I couldn’t surprise them by sending them some to be waiting for them when they got back home! 🙁 Otherwise, I love this blend and I will drink it and order via Amazon as long as it is available.
