Initially I started using this mouse as a backup since I was afraid the learning curve would be too steep, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's actually rather simple to use. The ball moves smoothly, and while the scrolling isn't soft, it's adequate for my type of work. The clicks are smooth and silent. I've been using this mouse as my main one from day two, and it's functioning as my favorite. Before I started, the default DPI of 400 gave me a little headache. However, it is sufficient for a 15-inch laptop screen.
