It works well, but it was a little tighter to install than factory blades. The standard blade guard attachments fit it OK. It runs a little louder than my other brand name unit, but it works fine for the price.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This resembles the oem blade more than the other offerings. It is a very tight snap into place. It replaced a 9686-300 blade where the plastic clip broke during a disassembly to clean. I use this for daily shaving, its not to close and did not create razor bumps or snags. It creates a light stubble look shave. In general, these replacement blades are not well priced. Considering a new trimmer is $33 this is 1/3 the cost. If the trimmer is older than 2-3 yrs it’s better to replace the trimmer, than the blade.

The part I received does not mount properly on my Wahl trimmer even though my trimmer is listed as a compatible product. The mounting parts look the same, but something is off. The head sits at a slightly rotated position, and the trimmer makes a loud buzzing. I can force the head around a bit, and it seems better (not completely right) but soon shifts back into the wrong rotation. Update: I bought a new replacement head from Wahl directly for only slightly more money and it works perfectly confirming that the problem is really with this off-brand replacement. Don't buy it.

Perfect fit. Never lay an exposed blade down. Break a tooth off and scratch the hell out of yourself.

Trimming my mustache when there was such a clatter.. the clip that holds the spring broke. Ordered this one, got it the next morning. So much better than OEM part, more substantial. Fit like an OJ glove a little tight, but works so well. Wahl needs to contract with this company. Got the trimmer for Christmas, it should last longer 4 months!!

The blade arrived in the packaging described, but it had no lubrication at all. As a result, the sliding blade was completely seized when I received it. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice this before installing it on my trimmer. When I turned the trimmer on, the motor couldn’t move the blade because it was stuck. I had to remove the head and manually push the sliding blade with my fingers to free it. No oil was included with the blade, but fortunately I had some on hand. After applying oil and cycling the blade until it loosened up, I reinstalled it and it worked properly. Once lubricated, the blade cut well. Overall, the blade seems to function fine once properly oiled, but it really should arrive pre-lubricated or with a small bottle of oil to avoid this issue.

Works as well as the original, and it's inexpensive enough to replace as needed.

This also fits the model 9899-100. At first I thought it wasn't going to fit but it did and works fine. It is a bit nosier than the original blade.

This attachment barely fit into the shaver- I had to force it in, as the plastic mouldings are different to the original manufacturer. Also, none of the original plastic hair trimming attachments that go onto the blade fit. Rendered useless but getting a refund is a headache so I’ll just bin it.

Perfect replacement for my Wahl shaver.

Hard to get OEM Wahl blade for SS2L Lithium trimmer. This seems like a good replacement part. Cuts well but not quite as good as OEM but would not hesitate to recommend.
